As a rule, once I've lost interest in a television series, I hardly ever go back. Perhaps it's due to something better in the same time slot that draws me away, or a dull patch in a current show that never seems to pick up steam again. Luckily, I had forgotten to delete the declining Hawaii Five-O from my season pass DVR, so when it showed up Friday night, I decided to check it out one last time. I'm glad I did: the show was one of the most exciting premieres of the week, filled with enough plot twists, gun play, and surprises to match all of last year.
