Universal is throwing into development a remake of Timecop , the 1994 Jean-Claude Van Damme time travel action movie. Marc Shmuger will produce the film via his Universal-based Global Produce banner alongside Tom McNulty. Timecop , a Universal library title, was set in the near future where time travel is regulated by a police force. One officer ( Van Damme ) runs afoul a crooked politician (played by Ron Silver ) using time travel to further his political career. It was based on a story published by Dark Horse Comics (the movie’s script was co-written by Dark Horse publisher Mike Richardson) and was one of Van Damme’s most successful films, both financially and critically. Timecop also proved to be a mini-franchise for the studio, spawning a short-lived 1997 TV series on ABC and a direct-to-DVD sequel with an all-new cast. The studio is approaching the new Timecop as a reboot and a re-imagining of the concept and is out to writers. Van Damme is not involved. Please Leave

FX is welcoming another member into its coven. Emma Roberts is joining the third-season cast of American Horror Story: Coven. Details on which character the actress will play are being kept under wraps other than the fact she's a party girl. While little is known about the witch-themed season three of American Horror Story , producers said at PaleyFest in March that the series would again search for haunted places in America. Co-creator Ryan Murphy previously told The Hollywood Reporter that next year would feature three characters playing real people, with co-star Kathy Bates being one of them. Roberts joins a growing cast in the anthology from Glee's Murphy and Brad Falchuk that also includes her boyfriend Evan Peters , who will be back for his third run. Canadian comedy Starbuck was a huge hit in its native land, so naturally the rights were grabbed. To avoid any confusion with excited Battlestar Galactica fans, the name was changed to Delivery Man . The first trailer for the film is lurking below. Vince Vaughn stars as David Wozniak, who discovers that, through a sperm donation snafu back in the 1990s, he’s now the father of several children. 533 children to be exact, and now they’ve formed a group and are suing to discover his true identity. Naturally, Dave’s not too thrilled. As the pressure rises, Dave has to decide whether he’ll stay anonymous or face the multiple kiddie music.
