BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Total Recall Deleted Fight Scene

The touted reboot of the classic sci-fi flick Total Recall may have failed to impress the critics with its clunky plot, but it definitely wasn't short on sci-fi spectacles and bone-crunching action. Sadly, with only so much running time available, not every action set piece made the cut—but this deleted scene totally should have, and would've only added to the sci-fi insanity. With Len Wiseman's (Underworld) remake hitting Blu-ray on Dec. 18, one of the first deleted scenes has leaked out via MTV, showing off an extended version of the carnage-filled rooftop cockpit fight scene that was teased in the trailers and actually looked pretty awesome on-screen. Watch the clip after the Jump... Get More: MTV Shows The remake, starring Colin Farrell in the role made famous by Arnold Schwarzenegger, may not have been able to match the charm of the 1990 original—but it definitely gets the edge in action.11 Please Leave A Comment- Source- Blastr Via MTV

The Wolverine Is Not A Sequel To X-Men Origins

The Wolverine's got some making up to do. After X-Men Origins was panned by both fans and critics, the clawed hero needs a fresh start. And according to Hugh Jackman , he's going to get one. In a recent interview with TotalFilm , Jackman discussed the tone of next year's The Wolverine . He claims it won't be a flat-out sequel to its 2009 predecessor. Instead, it will have more of a self-contained story. "We've deliberately not called it Wolverine 2 because we want it to be placed and feel like a standalone picture," said Jackman. "With an all-new cast and setting it in Japan, it's going to give us a whole new visual aesthetic." The actor realizes the property can't thrive on name recognition alone. So they've come up with fresher ideas to get fans to return. That's why they hired screenwriter Christopher McQuarrie. "He's a brilliant writer, and he came up with a concept that was just phenomenal," he exclaimed...

Total Recall 2012 Vs Original Total Recall Which Was A Better Film?

The remake of Total Recall (deemed Total Recall 2012) is upon us, meeting with a frenzy of interest while getting slammed by the critics. But we at SandwichJohn  ( MattInRC ) take a more disciplined approach, and have found many aspects of the new version that kick ass over the original. We think there are clear reasons why TR2012 makes the original its little bitch. What are they? Let's find out. No Mars: Frankly, the idea that Arnold would go to the Red Planet, stick his fingers in some sort of Polish Vulcan arrangement, and suddenly turn the planet into Earth 2 was hard to justify when it came out. Now that we actually know the difficulty of sending people to Mars, the idea is even more wacky. The mutants were silly, and the idea that Arnold and Rachel Ticotin could survive for any longer than 2 seconds without air was ridiculous. Advantage: TR2012 Ridiculous One-Liners: At the time, hearing Arnold state emphatically "Consider it a divorce" after poppi...

TOTAL RECALL Review. Is It Worth Your Money?

TOTAL RECALL Review By: MattInRC TOTAL RECALL is a fun, action-packed summer blockbuster that's great eye candy and just smart enough for us nerds. Make sure to come back soon. We got some information from a source who saw the unfinished film who gave us some comparisons from the unfinished film and the completed movie. I remember watching Arnold Schwarzenegger's version of  TOTAL RECALL  when it came to theatres in 1990: sexy, sultry Sharon Stone , brandishing firearms against Arnold's Doug Quaid as he traveled to Mars to fulfill his destiny. The film raised interesting questions about memory without getting too involved in the discussion. Appearances by the alien named Quatto and Eddie the crazy cab driver turned hitman helped round out what I thought was a pretty good film. But in preparing for this review, rather than leaving its warm glow in my mind, I made the mistake of watching it again. Oh brother: campy and just plain cheesy, TR has...

International TV Spot For Total Recall

The new Total Recall may not be getting our asses to Mars - Len Wiseman's reboot is set entirely on our home planet - but judging by the movie's new international TV spot, Earth will do very nicely indeed. There's a whole mess of sci-fi spectacle in Len Wiseman's future world and it's all on display in a spot that's heavy on things going "boom" and very low on safe sky-driving. Win Tickets To An Advance Screening Of TOTAL RECALL In Sacramento

IN THEATERS AUGUST 3 Win your tickets to see an advance screening of   TOTAL RECALL ! We have passes to the special advance screening on Aug 2, 2012 at 7:00 PM in Sacramento. TOTAL RECALL  is an upcoming 2012 American science fiction action film remake of the 1990 film of the same name, which is based on the 1966 short story " We Can Remember It for You Wholesale " by Philip K. Dick. Unlike the original 1990 film, the plot of this new version lacks a trip to Mars and contains strong political overtones. In addition, the film also blends Western and Eastern influences together, due to the fact that the two nation states, New Shanghai and Euroamerica are battling for political power. It is directed by Len Wiseman, written by Mark Bomback, James Vanderbilt, and Kurt Wimmer, starring Colin Farrell, Kate Beckinsale, Jessica Biel, Bryan Cranston, John Cho, and Bill Nighy . In a futuristic political setting of 2084, after being devastated by war, Earth is divided into two...

Total Recall Comic-Con Panel Is Live

Here is the Total Recall Comic-Con panel via Rponcho . It will seem like you were there, but you didn't have to sleep overnight to get in. After bringing one, unfinished scene to Comic-Con’s Hall H last year, Len Wiseman and his Total Recall cast were back with a sizzle reel full of completed CG work, robot police officers and Kate Beckinsale really trying to kill Colin Farrell . Of course, she was a lot less violent on the panel and Wiseman definitely scored by bringing his other half, plus Farrell, Jessica Biel and consummate showman Bryan Cranston, who got one of the biggest reactions when he wanted to find out how the interpreter for the deaf people in the audience would sign “douchebag” when talking about his character, Cohaagen. The panel was a chatty, funny one, with Farrell tackling everything from filling Arnold Schwarzenegger’s big, BIG shoes and Cranston revealing how everyone in the cast slept with Wiseman to get the role. And Beckinsale was also able to bring u...

Jessica Biel Cast As Viper In The Wolverine

Jessica Biel has been cast as Viper in 20th Century Fox‘s The Wolverine . The Victoria/Viper character has a long arc in the X-Men mythology and is a juicy role in the film. According to Marvel lore Viper bounces between good and not so good and she holds some sway over Wolverine but is mostly a foe to the X-Men and Avengers. It will be the second Marvel project for Biel, who also starred in 2004′s Blade: Trinity. She’s next up co-starring opposite Colin Farrell in Total Recall , which Sony is releasing August 3, and Pascal Laugier’s The Tall Man, due out August 31. Please Leave A Comment- Source- Deadline

The Wolverine Gets A Rewrite

With filming now delayed, as the production team waits out the weather in Japan and leading man Hugh Jackman heads off to star in Tom Hooper’s new version of Les Miserables , it seems that The Wolverine ’s director James Mangold is taking the opportunity to run the script through the re-write machine courtesy of Unstoppable’s Mark Bomback. As you’ll likely already be aware, the new outing for Logan will see the freshly amnesiac anti-hero looking for a place in the Japanese criminal underworld. There’ll he’ll find both love and problems, with the majority of the latter provided by the evil Silver Samurai . But as Variety reports, there will also be another thorn in his side, as he’ll face off against Viper , credited here as the secretary for Japan’s Minister of Justice. But fans of Marvel comics know she has a much deeper history than that, having trained with Wolverine at one point with mentor Seraph. She’s also had more friendly dealings with Silver Samurai. While we’re not sur...

Colin Farrell As Quaid In Total Recall

Are you ready for your first official look at Colin Farrell as the new Doug Quaid ? He's a little thinner than Arnold Schwarzenegger's version, but Farrell's got the "what the hell's going on" stare down to a science! The new Total Recall is directed by Len Wiseman (of the Underworld series) and takes place in an area of nation-states that include Euromerica and New Shanghai. It's here that factory worker Douglas Quaid (Farrell) begins to believe that he's a spy but doesn't know which side has hired him. The first official photo from Total Recall appears in the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly, where Farrell describes the movie as "much less jokey" than the 1990 version. He claims that the tone will be completely different than what we saw in the past. "There's not as much tongue-in-cheek," he says. Judging from this photo, Total Recall has plenty of dark moments. It looks as if Quaid has been caught red-handed tryin...

John Cho AKA Harold To Star In Total Recall

John Cho (Star Trek) has joined Total Recall , Sony’s remake of the 1990 Arnold Schwarzenegger sci-fi action film that begins shooting Monday in Toronto. Cho will play McClane, the smooth-talking rep for the mind-messing company that tempts Colin Farrell’s Douglas Quaid to implant fantastic memories into his brain. Bob McClane  was originally played by Ray Barker in the " Total Recall " “ Bob McClane ,” a Rekall manager and sales agent who convinces Quaid to buy an “Ego Trip” memory implant. Bryan Cranston has been cast as the futuristic villain played by Ronny Cox in the original film, and Ethan Hawke will have a small role as well. Bill Nighy , who worked with Recall‘s director Len Wiseman on the Underworld franchise, remains in talks, reportedly to play the revolutionary hero, Kuato . Please Leave A Comment- Source- EW

Ethan Hawke To Make A Cameo In Total Recall Remake

Ethan Hawke is boarding Total Recall , Columbia’s Colin Farrell-starring remake of the 1990 Arnold Schwarzenegger action movie. The original movie, based on the Philip K. Dick story, We Can Remember It for You Wholesale, followed a man haunted by a recurring dream of journeying to Mars who buys a literal dream vacation from a company called Rekall Inc., which sells implanted memories. The man comes to believe he is a secret agent and ends up on a Martian colony, where he fights to overthrow a despotic ruler controlling the production of air. The new story ditches the Martian storyline and instead involves nation states Euromerica and New Shanghai, with Douglas Quaid (Farrell) a factory worker in the latter who begins to believe he is a spy, although he doesn't know for which side. The movie has been casting up ahead of its June start in Toronto with Bryan Cranston playing the villain. Kate Beckinsale and Jessica Biel are in negotiations for the female leads. Hawke’s role i...

Kate Beckinsale Offered Role Of Lori In Total Recall

Kate Beckinsale has been offered one of the female lead roles alongside Colin Farrell in the Sony Pictures remake Total Recall .  She's been offered to play Lori , who was portrayed in the 1990 Paul Verhoeven-directed actioner by Sharon Stone . In fact, that role really launched Stone's star after she transformed from the happy spouse of Douglas Quaid ( Arnold Schwarzenegger ) into someone completely different. Both that role and the role of Melina (played in the original by Rachel Ticotin) has drawn high interest from actresses. I've heard that Eva Mendes and Rosario Dawson are the serious contenders for the latter role. Beckinsale wasn't among the names most often mentioned among actresses who read for Lori. But she certainly has a track record with the film's director, Len Wiseman . They're married, and before that, worked together on the Underworld films. Beckinsale, who just wrapped Contraband with Mark Wahlberg, is also attached to star in The Tri...

By Virtue Fall Starring Carla Gugino & Eric Bana

James Spader, Carla Gugino, Ryan Phillippe, Treat Williams and Kim Coates have joined the cast of Sheldon Turner's By Virtue Fall . Eric Bana is already attached to play one of the two leads. Turner, who most recently co-wrote the Oscar-nominated Up in the Air screenplay, has been working to pull together his directorial debut for months, with several lead actors, including Colin Farrell and Jeremy Renner , in various talks to take the other lead. While Farrell has moved on to Columbia's Total Recall remake, Renner is still a possibility, though his immediate schedule already contains Paramount's Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters and Marvel Studios' The Avengers. The Hurt Locker producer Voltage Pictures was once on board to finance By Virtue Fall, but now QED International (District 9, W.) looks to be handling foreign sales and putting up at least part of the money for production. Turner's script tells the story of a pair of ATF agents who end up enemies a...
