Look, up in the sky! It's another comic book show. Syfy is turning to David S. Goyer — the man behind The Man of Steel — to develop Superman origin story Krypton , The Hollywood Reporter has learned. From Warner Horizon Television and DC Comics, Krypton takes place years before the Superman legend we know, when the House of El was shamed and ostracized. This drama, which is in development, follows the Man of Steel's grandfather as he brings hope and equality to Krypton, turning a planet in disarray into one worthy of giving birth to the greatest Super Hero ever known. Ian Goldberg (Once Upon a Time, FlashForward) will pen the script and exec produce alongside Goyer. The story was conceived by both Goyer and Goldberg. The drama is in the same vein as Fox's DC Comics take Gotham , which tells the origin story of Jim Gordon ( Ben McKenzie ) and features a pre-teen Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) before he became Batman. If you’ve ever hoped for the painful demise of MTV’s Jersey Shore cast, you’ll probably want to tune in to Syfy’s Jersey Shore Shark Attack. The network landed a surprisingly stellar cast for the upcoming movie, as first reported by EW . It includes actual Jersey Shore cast member Vinny Guadagnino , The Sopranos’ Tony Sirico , Goodfellas’ Paul Sorvino , Dallas star Jack Scalia , Die Hard’s William Atherton , and former ‘N Sync band member Joey Fatone . Jersey Shore Shark Attack takes place on Independence Day weekend when the boardwalk is full of party people. Apparently, the local waters are also packed with angry sharks, which have been driven there by illegal underwater drilling. We told you last week that we were enjoying the current 4th season of Eureka , were looking forward to the 5th (filming now), and were wondering what was up with the reportedly shortened 6th. Now we (sadly) know. Syfy today released the following statement. After painstaking consideration, we have had to make the difficult business decision to not order a season six of Eureka . But Eureka is not over yet. There is a new holiday episode this December and 12 stellar episodes set to debut next year, marking its fifth season and six memorable years on Syfy. The 2012 episodes are some of the best we've seen, and will bring this great series to a satisfying end. We are very grateful to Bruce Miller and Jaime Paglia, their team of incredible writers, and an amazing cast and crew who have consistently delivered a series we continue to be very proud of. The former " Heroes " star will collaborate with writer Alex Sabeti on " The Correctors ," a time-travel, Inception-esque project. Masi Oka is teaming up with writer Alex Sabeti (Art of Cool) on an Inception-esque pilot script for Syfy. The Correctors follows two agents of the Exceptions Bureau who are dispatched to a parallel universe where they inhabit the bodies of their identical selves in order to stop events from occurring. The time-travel elements and changing the course of history were key in the plot of NBC’s now-defunct Heroes, where Oka played a Hiro Nakamura, who could bend the space-time continuum. Sabeti and Oka developed the story and Sabeti will write the script with Masi executive producing and possibly starring. Osa has had a recurring role on CBS’ Hawaii Five-0 this season.
