Today we got our hands on the first trailer for Moneyball , the film directed by Bennett Miller and starring Brad Pitt, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Robin Wright and Jonah Hill, also starring Chris Pratt and Casey Bond . It is based on the true story of Billy Beane , general manager of the Oakland Athletics , and his attempt to create a competitive team despite Oakland's unfavorable financial situation. And Who Might Play Venom The search for a young actress to star alongside Andrew Garfield in the rebooted Spider-Man is intensifying. I'm told that Sony Pictures Entertainment has added a couple of contenders for the role. They are Dianna Agron , who stars in the hit series Glee and Georgina Haig, star of the Ben C. Lucas-directed Wasted on the Young, which premiered to acclaim at the Toronto International Film Festival. Agron just tested last night, though there are questions of availability because she is such a major part of a hit TV show. They join a small group of actresses previously in the mix. Brad Pitt On The Set Of Moneyball Brad Pitt will be playing Oakland A's GM Billy Beane, Jonah Hill is set to play Paul DePodesta and Kathryn Morris is slated to play Beane’s second wife who “loves baseball as much as her husband, so she understands and shares his passion for the game” Scripted by Steven Zaillian and Aaron Sorkin, production starts in L.A. Kathryn Morris Joins "Moneyball"

“Cold Case” Hottie Joins "Moneyball" “ Cold Case ” star Kathryn Morris is in negotiations to come aboard the Columbia Pictures baseball film “Moneyball.” In the film, which stars Brad Pitt, Robin Wright, Jonah Hill, Philip Seymour Hoffman and Stephen Bishop , Morris will play the second wife of Oakland A’s GM Billy Beane ( Pitt ). She loves baseball as much as her husband, so she understands and shares his passion for the game. Bennett Miller is directing the project, written by Steven Zaillian and Aaron Sorkin, which starts shooting in L.A. next week. Scott Rudin, Michael De Luca and Rachel Horovitz are producing. Morris has starred on the CBS procedural “Cold Case” for seven seasons.
