BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Mission: Impossible 5 Gets a Name and Teaser Trailer

The newest Ethan Hunt adventure releases a teaser trailer and poster. Story by Matt Cummings This week has brought us plenty of spy-related news, from a SPECTRE character poster to Adi Shankar's gritty PreViz of In Service of Nothing . Sunday brought us yet another tidbit, this time from the Tom Cruise Mission: Impossible franchise. This shouldn't come as a shock, since the Christopher McQuarrie-directed flick was moved up to July to avoid competition from Star Wars: The Force Awakens , which means we have less than four months before its premiere. First up is the title card which we premiered above. We really can't take much from it, but its font and wick reminds us of the franchise's roots. But it's the teaser trailer we got that tells us so much more about what to expect. Check it out below: From the looks of it, we're in for another wild Ethan Hunt adventure, complete with nothing less than Cruise strapped to a real airplane as it take...

Point Break Remake and Rocky Spin-Off Creed Set New Dates

Warner Bros. is already planning for the holidays. By Brandon Wolfe Warner Bros. has shuffled its schedule today, announcing that it is moving its (again, brutally pointless) remake of Point Break from summer to the very un-surfer-friendly date of Christmas Day. This move is not surprising, as the remake's original July 31 turf was recently encroached upon by the far more heavily anticipated Mission: Impossible 5 . Still, scuttling the film to Christmas feels like a peculiar move for such a summery property. Point Break will now square off against the latest Alvin and the Chipmunks squeakquel, the Will Smith drama Concussion and Paramount's Monster Trucks . WB has also set a Thanksgiving release date for Creed , the spin-off of the undying Rocky franchise, starring Michael B. Jordan and Sylvester Stallone. It will spar with Pixar's The Good Dinosaur , Ridley Scott's The Martian and an untitled Sony Christmas comedy starring Seth Rogen and Joseph Gordon-L...

Mission: Impossible 5 Moved to Summer 2015

Tom Cruise’s new mission will be accepted July 31. By Brandon Wolfe Smartly reconsidering the decision to go toe-to-toe with Star Wars in December, Deadline reports that Paramount has opted to bump Mission: Impossible 5 up to July 31, where it will now face a more surmountable opponent in Warner Bros’ wildly uncalled-for remake of Point Break . This is a huge vote of confidence in the Tom Cruise five-quel, as movies are generally far more likely to be pushed back six months rather than moved up. M:I5 now stands as yet another appetizing side on a summer table already packed with tasty treats. Discuss this story with fellow SJF fans on Facebook . Our Most Anticipated Movies Of 2015

Learn which films have us excited for 2015. Story by Matt Cummings Last year at the box office was an odd one to be sure - with most people looking ahead to 2015, 2014 seemed like the bastard step-child that the family knows it has to take in, even though they'd rather not. Still, the year did give us several very good flicks, most of which made it into our 2014 Most Anticipated List . Like every year, big-budget franchise sequels and tentpoles dominated the landscape like Godzilla, X-Men: Days of Future Past, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, as well as The LEGO Movie. But now it's time to move into the big one, the year that should demolish every previous box office record, with a collection of films that honestly is the best we've seen in awhile. As always, our list runs the gamut, from risky comic book projects to interesting adaptions, reboots, and conclusions. Your friends at SJF have compiled our top 20 (or so) most anticipated, which means we'...

Mission: Impossible 5 Casting News

Mission: Impossible 5 casts its female lead; Alec Baldwin also in talks. Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol was one of the top money makers of 2011 and made the top five on SJF's 'Best Of.' Sporting great action, a solid story, and the introduction of Actor Jeremy Renner to the mix created an impressive climb along the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, and a fitting epilogue MI: III . But unlike the flashy tone of the series, production on Mission: Impossible 5 has been rather under-the-radar. Rather than sporting the big news of Star Wars: Episode VII and Avengers: Age of Ultron , the creative team behind Actor Tom Cruise's baby have quietly - but effectively - put together a very good team for masterspy Ethan Hunt. And while its name has yet to solidified, we know of two bits of very interesting casting news that we recently announced. Along with Renner reprising his role as Hunt’s fellow IMF agent William Brandt, Simon Pegg will also return as techie Benji Dunn...

Jeremy Renner Confirms He's Doing Mission: Impossible 5

He will team up again with Tom Cruise and Simon Pegg. According to multiple sources, Actor Jeremy Renner has confirmed that he will reprise his role of Agent William Brandt in Mission: Impossible 5 . He will re-join with Actors Simon Pegg and Tom Cruise for the December 25, 2015 release. The news came as it sometimes does, through denial of a possible casting in another project. The project he denied involvement was HBO's True Detective . Here's what he said: "It's kind of unlikely. In fact, I'm kind of strapped time-wise doing Avengers 2, and Mission: Impossible 5 is rearing its head, and then they want to do another Bourne movie. It's unlikely I can find the time right now. And that's all right. It's just really high-class problems — pretty awesome to have. Even if I really wanted to do it, which I don't, I couldn't." This is great news for those of us who enjoyed Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol ( and we did ). It'...
