While his big screen career hasn't been filled with success and blockbuster jobs of late, Brendan Fraser has found plenty to keep him busy on TV. He's now joining the cast of the DC Universe series Doom Patrol . The show, which will be shown on the comics company's streaming service, brings the unusual superhero team created by Arnold Drake, Bob Haney and Bruno Premian in 1963 to life in live-action form. Supernatural veteran Jeremy Carver is the main writer for the show, which unites a group of powered outcasts under the leadership of the mysterious Dr. Niles Caulder and Cyborg ( Jovian Wade ). Together Robotman, Negative Man, Elasti-Woman ( April Bowlby ) and Crazy Jane ( Diane Guerrero ) go on a mission to the weirder corners of the sprawling comics universe.
