Warner Bros. released the first shot of Melissa Benoist in costume for the new CBS series from Greg Berlanti, Ali Adler and Andrew Kreisberg. Gone are the days of the bright blue and red color scheme, as this Kara Zor-El appears to be taking a walk on the dark side—figuratively, of course. Also different from the costume Helen Slater donned in the ’80s is that Kara is showing off less skin now that her boots go above her knees and she appears to be wearing stockings underneath. And she certainly isn’t sporting the bare midriff Kara has often appeared with in the comics.
