THR is reporting Parasite, one of the most acclaimed movies of 2019, is heading to HBO as a limited series. Bong Joon Ho , who wrote and directed the Palme d’Or winner and Oscar hopeful, is teaming with Adam McKay, whose recent work The Big Short and Vice earned him multiple award nominations and whose HBO drama, Succession, just took home the Golden Globe for best drama series. Deals are not done, but talks are underway with HBO, which came out on top following a fierce bidding war with Netflix for the rights. Parasite followed the poor but cunning Kim family as they ingratiated themselves into the lives of their wealthy employers, the Park family. The relationship between the two clans went through several twists and ultimately ended up having deadly consequences. It is unclear if the limited series will be some sort of follow-up to the movie or an English-language remake. Told from a wildly original, fresh and modern perspective, Booksmart is an unfiltered comedy about high school best friends and the bonds we create that last a lifetime. Capturing the spirit of our times, the film is a coming of age story for a new generation Zach saw the film at SXSW this week and this is what he thought of the film- Booksmart is an INSTANT CLASSIC. Just give it time. So many great vibes in this film. I’m blown away with the amount of heart and humor that was placed into this film. We'll start here by saying this is far from a done deal and more just about conversations that Adam McKay has been having lately. But speaking to the Happy Sad Confused podcast , on the occasion of his excellent Dick Cheney biopic Vice's release, McKay revealed that he's been having ongoing discussions with Kevin Feige and Marvel Studios about possible projects for some time, and that the third Guardians Of The Galaxy might be something he'd find difficult to turn down. Specifically, McKay says the character of Nova), head of intergalactic police force the Nova Corps, is one he'd be particularly interested in working with, and one that's likely to introduced in Guardians Vol. 3 (news already confirmed by Feige). Cross is the main challenge for Lang and Michael Douglas’ Hank Pym, since he also has access to the “Pym Particles” that can shrink matter and has crafted a more dangerous version of the Ant-Man suit for his own nefarious ends. Check out the violence-promising bladed arms, with Cross taking a leaf from Doctor Octopus’s book (even if he’ll never acknowledge him, what with Doc appearing in a different studio’s franchise.)
