Bleecker Street has announced it will release I’LL SEE YOU IN MY DREAMS on Friday, May 15, 2015 and PAWN SACRIFICE on Friday, September 18, 2015 (San Francisco/Bay Area/Sacramento dates for both of these films are still TBD).

UPCOMING “DANNY COLLINS” TO OPEN IN SAN FRANCISCO/BAY AREA ON FRIDAY, MARCH 27.



DANNY COLLINS will open in the San Francisco/Bay Area on Friday, March 27, 2015. Sacramento opening date is either April 3 or April 10, 2015

I’LL SEE YOU IN MY DREAMS, directed by Brett Haley, had its World Premiere at the Sundance Film Festival where it received a standing ovation for its star, Blythe Danner. The film stars Ms. Danner as a widow who’s settled into her life and her age, until a series of events propel her into a renewed engagement with the people and the world around her. The film also stars Martin Starr, Sam Elliott, Malin Akerman, June Squibb, Rhea Perlman, and Mary Kay Place. The film was written by Brett Haley and Marc Basch and produced by Rebecca Green and Laura Smith.

PAWN SACRIFICE, directed by Edward Zwick, was acquired at the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival. The film stars Tobey Maguire as American Chess Grandmaster, Bobby Fischer, as he faces off against Russian rival, Boris Spassky (Liev Schreiber), in the “Match of the Century” in the 1972 World Chess Championship in Reykjavik. The film was written by Steven Knight and produced by Edward Zwick, Gail Katz and Tobey Maguire.

DANNY COLLINS (inspired by a true story), written & directed by Dan Fogelman stars Al Pacino as aging rocker Danny Collins, who can’t give up his hard-living ways. But when his manager (Christopher Plummer) uncovers a 40-year old undelivered letter written to him by John Lennon, he decides to change course and embarks on a heartfelt journey to rediscover his family, find true love and become a second act. The film also stars Annette Bening, Jennifer Garner & Bobby Cannavale. Featuring songs by John Lennon.

Naked Gun Reboot On It's Way

If you've seen Naked Gun - or The Naked Gun: From The Files Of Police Squad ! to give its full title - you'll know that it's a comedic masterpiece that springboards off astonishing levels of silliness and random spoofery. Leslie Nielsen's Frank Drebin is a loveable buffoon for the ages, even when he's discussing his dicky prostrate. Do not, however, expect the Ed Helms -starring reboot to adopt exactly the same tack. According to Naked Gun director/co-writer David Zucker, talking up Airplane!'s screening at Nashville's Wild West Comedy Festival, the new version will not attempt to hit the same spoofy sweet spot as the Zuckers and Jim Abrahams' 1988 comedy. "It won’t be like the Naked Gun that I did," Zucker revealed. "It may be good, but it won’t be that kind of movie. They’re going to use the title. They asked me if I wanted to produce.
