BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

#THEGIVER-Three Brand New, Interactive Web Experiences

Plunge into the world of THE GIVER with three fully immersive, interactive online experiences. The Giver Challenge, The Memory Deposit, and The Giver Experience are virtual portals designed to reflect upon the themes present in the film, and allow fans the chance to experience THE GIVER for themselves.

These three sites combine to create a deeply immersive experience for fans and newcomers alike, allowing them to explore the world of THE GIVER and put themselves in the shoes of The Receiver.

The Giver Challenge: Become an official citizen of the community. Create a unique profile, earn points, win spectacular prizes, and give back to a Giver Challenge-approved charity.

The Memory Deposit: This crowd-sourced catalogue of moments and themes pulls in user-submissions from across multiple social media platforms to create a tapestry of the human experience.

The Giver Experience: Become the Receiver of Memories and speak to The Giver himself in a completely interactive interview, starring Jeff Bridges.

The haunting story of THE GIVER centers on Jonas, who lives in a seemingly ideal, if colorless, world of conformity and contentment. Not until he is given his life assignment as the Receiver of Memory does he begin to understand the dark, complex secrets behind his fragile community. The film is based on Lois Lowry’s beloved young adult novel of the same name, which was the winner the 1994 Newbery Medal and has sold over 10 million copies worldwide. THE GIVER will be in theaters everywhere August 15th.

Please find additional details about the websites to share with your readers below. All three sites will continue to be updated on a regular basis in the coming weeks, further expanding and deepening the world of THE GIVER, so be sure to check back often!

ABOUT THE GIVER CHALLENGE:
http://thegiverchallenge.com/
The Community will offer weekly themes to run every two weeks — from April 28th to August 3rd — and are based on seven of the motifs from The Giver. A “theme” winner will be announced every other week via email, starting on May 12th. Theme winners will be rewarded with unique & exciting trips and a $1000 donation to their selected charities. Other exciting giveaways will be distributed throughout the challenge, including Schwinn bicycles and gift cards to Amazon, iTunes, and Spotify. Players may also be selected for original/creative posts and have their creations featured as “Citizens of the Week.“

During the final two weeks (The Ceremony), the TOP 10 point earners (from April 14th – August 3rd) will be put to a vote for the Grand Prize Winner as “The Receiver.” The Grand Prize Winner will take home a $10,000 cash award AND win the honor of designating a $10,000 donation for the charity of his or her choice.

Each competition will include “training” or tasks for players to share their own memories, individuality, or promotional items of The Giver movie. Players can progress by completing their training — in accordance with the rules of the community — and earning points and badges. Leaderboards will be displayed to track progress and development throughout each competition and towards The Ceremony. Click here for the Official Rules.

Watch for emails on Mondays, containing announcements or instructions from the Council or The Giver.

ABOUT THE MEMORY DEPOSIT:
http://thegivermemory.tumblr.com/
The Memory Deposit is a collective that details the entire human experience. From the small moments that help us understand the world, to the events that comprise our history, this deposit serves to inform, inspire, and remind us of what makes us human.

However, the insights found within these memories has no place in the world of The Giver. In a community founded on the principles of “sameness”, remembering what came before serves no greater purpose. In fact, it’s a departure from the perfection this society has worked so hard to sustain.

For a chance to be featured in the Memory Deposit, use the theme’s corresponding hashtag when posting images to tumblr.

ABOUT THE GIVER EXPERIENCE:
https://thegiverfilm.com/
We put the user into the virtual seat of The Receiver by creating a first person, interactive piece that allows users to actually speak and interact with the character of The Giver, played by Jeff Bridges. Leveraging Google Chrome's speech recognition tech, the system will track and moderate responses vocal responses. He will ask you questions, and if you respond correctly, he will share memory transfers with you.

Naked Gun Reboot On It's Way

If you've seen Naked Gun - or The Naked Gun: From The Files Of Police Squad ! to give its full title - you'll know that it's a comedic masterpiece that springboards off astonishing levels of silliness and random spoofery. Leslie Nielsen's Frank Drebin is a loveable buffoon for the ages, even when he's discussing his dicky prostrate. Do not, however, expect the Ed Helms -starring reboot to adopt exactly the same tack. According to Naked Gun director/co-writer David Zucker, talking up Airplane!'s screening at Nashville's Wild West Comedy Festival, the new version will not attempt to hit the same spoofy sweet spot as the Zuckers and Jim Abrahams' 1988 comedy. "It won’t be like the Naked Gun that I did," Zucker revealed. "It may be good, but it won’t be that kind of movie. They’re going to use the title. They asked me if I wanted to produce. They’re nice people, but they don’t want to do that style of spoof that I do." One departure...
