It may be hard to believe, but after a few years sitting on the shelf, it's finally (almost) here. The Red Dawn reboot opens Nov. 21—and a new trailer shows off the crazy invasion action that's coming soon.
Starring a who's who of eventual stars (Chris Hemsworth, Adrianne Palicki, Josh Hutcherson), the remake finds the U.S. occupied by a foreign army. Our only hope? A ragtag group of teens and 20-somethings out to cause as much trouble as possible.
The film was finished before Hemsworth became a household name (among comic fans, anyway) for his role as Thor, and his star power should carry the remake of the 1980s classic to at least a solid opening.
A new trailer has been released setting up the premise, including a few snippets of new action footage. Despite the fact that MGM's financial woes kept it in purgatory for a few years, it still looks pretty good.
