Raging Bull II Begins Filming. Why?

Production is underway on Sunset Pictures and 982 Media's "Raging Bull II," the hybrid prequel/sequel that Martin Guigui is directing from a script he co-wrote with Rustam Branaman.

William Forsythe stars as boxing champ Jake LaMotta, with newcomer Mojean Aria playing the younger version of the character first made famous by Robert De Niro in Martin Scorsese's 1980 classic "Raging Bull."

Pic co-stars Joe Mantegna, Tom Sizemore, Penelope Ann Miller, Natasha Henstridge, Alicia Witt, Ray Wise, Harry Hamlin, Bill Bellamy and James Russo, the "Django Unchained" thesp who plays Rocky Graziano.

Producers include Dahlia Wanigort, Scott Reed and Ron Singer, while C.C. Hang and Joe Allegro are exec producing.

"Raging Bull II" is currently filming throughout Los Angeles and on the Universal lot.
