The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1. Jackson Rathbone & Ashley Greene Interview

We had the pleasure of attending and covering the Red Carpet for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 Press Tour and Concert. last week in San Francisco. Rathbone had to be one of the most down to earth actors I have ever met.

We talk about there if they could play a different character in the film who would they play? How there characters have changed. Rathbone explains where he got his sweet dance moves from. And how they punk'd Bill Condon, or did they?

Jackson Rathbone Talks Girlfriend At Breaking Dawn Tour-

Charlie Bewley Interview From The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 Press Tour And Concert-

Enjoy the interview.

Here is the Roundtable interview with Jackson Rathbone who plays Jasper Hale and Ashley Greene who plays Alice Cullen

First question asked was to Rathbone-

So your getting ready for your European tour with you band?

Rathbone- Yes that is going to be crazy, I don't believe in down time or free time. Maybe I can switch that around. I think all of my time is down time, free time. I love what I do so I'm never bored, I'm never complacent. One of my favorite poems is The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock by T.S. Eliot. It's all about a man who wishes to change his life but doesn't have the will to do it. I have always taken that as a Que to never be complacent.

Ashley you have LOL and Butter coming out. Are you excited for your fans to see you in a different role?

Greene- I am because in LOL I play a completely different character then Alice, she is kind of the bad girl a little bit. But it is still a high school film and is still relatable and the film address the modern day technologically, and the trial that kids are going through now. Butter is a little bit older and I think our fans will connect with it. It's comedy and is a little dark and it's about butter craving in Iowa and I didn't even know it existed.

How have your characters evolved from the first film to now?

Rathbone- Huge changes, there is a consistent evolution that is one of the things that attracted
us to this characters. It's lovely to play a character that moves, learns and grows even though we are playing these immortal characters trapped in a certain book and age. It's lovely for us to learn and grow. With Jasper the first time he is kind of freaky, he doesn't really understand how to deal with humans around. And he is trying to embrace this life style cause he loves Alice and wants to be part of this family. And in New Moon he screws up and nearly kills Bella. Eclipse you see this kind of rising up and trying to fight for the family. In Breaking Dawn we actually get to see Jasper smile which is awesome and take his lady on the dance floor.

Greene- Jasper gets to smile and Alice stops smiling.

Can you talk about where you got your dance moves?

Rathbone- Where I got my sweet moves? It's a secret. I was with Nicholas Cage looking for that National Treasure. (Jokingly) And I unearthed this tomb of sweet dance moves. No I did a cotillion back in Texas when I was growing up and um and they taught us how to waltz, two step and line dance. And then I feel in love with the movie Swingers, and they did a little swing dance at the end of the film and from then I wanted to watch anything I could about swing dancing. And I just kind of kept it up.

If you had to do the whole franchise over again and had to be a different character who would you play?

Greene- I would be Victoria. Cause I really like her character and I know that she is the villain but I mean there are somethings that you can relate to her, with someone took away her life partner. And you understand why she would want to have revenge for his death. I feel that villains are so layered and so mush fun going on under the surface, there is always a reason for why they are the way they are.

Rathbone- I would be Jacob's dad cause he gets to sit the whole time. There are such long hours on set, sometimes you are shooting like 14 hours.

Greene- Are you kidding me you would fall asleep.

Rathbone- That would be awesome I would tip my hat down and crash.

I heard that you guys Punk'd Bill Condon on set. Is this true?

Both- Oh Yeah.

What did you do?

Rathbone- I don't know we can talk about that yet?

Greene- Nope didn't punk him. (Laughingly)

Rathbone- We punch him. (Entire table is laughing)

Greene- You don't get to see the punking until part 2. It will probably be in the extras? But it is not part of the movie, if they put that in the movie it would just be a whole different thing.

Rathbone- It's a long story, but it's awesome. you'll have to wait til next year.

Jackson Rathbone turns the table on us and asks us what are we most looking forward to in Breaking Dawn?

The consensus was the birth scene, marriage and we want to see more fighting.

(You had to be there and see the visuals) Rathbone- I got a good fighting story for you. So we fight the wolves right. And they don't have real wolves on set, so they get these gigantic bean bags. And um so you kind of wrestle this bean bag and I studied classical theater growing up and I thought what is my motivation, how am I going to make this work? I understand it's a big bad wolf trying to eat me O.K whatever so I'm grabbing it and shaking it and I don't understand this I grab the stunt guy. Show me how to make this look real. The stunt guy grabs the bean bag and says you kind of grabbed it (in a thrusting movement) I was like oh my god, do you realize what you are doing? So I didn't do that motion, I went more for a punch. No thrusting with the wolves.

And that was the end of the interview. Had a great time with the cast of the film.

Hope you enjoyed the interview.

Naked Gun Reboot On It's Way

If you've seen Naked Gun - or The Naked Gun: From The Files Of Police Squad ! to give its full title - you'll know that it's a comedic masterpiece that springboards off astonishing levels of silliness and random spoofery. Leslie Nielsen's Frank Drebin is a loveable buffoon for the ages, even when he's discussing his dicky prostrate. Do not, however, expect the Ed Helms -starring reboot to adopt exactly the same tack. According to Naked Gun director/co-writer David Zucker, talking up Airplane!'s screening at Nashville's Wild West Comedy Festival, the new version will not attempt to hit the same spoofy sweet spot as the Zuckers and Jim Abrahams' 1988 comedy. "It won’t be like the Naked Gun that I did," Zucker revealed. "It may be good, but it won’t be that kind of movie. They’re going to use the title. They asked me if I wanted to produce. They’re nice people, but they don’t want to do that style of spoof that I do." One departure...
