The Expendables 2 Gets A Release Date

Lionsgate announced an August 17, 2012 release date for The Expendables 2. The film currently has the slot to itself, with G.I. Joe 2 scheduled to hit theaters a week earlier on August 10.

Sylvester Stallone's first film earned an impressive $274.5 million worldwide on a budget of $80 million.

While Stallone won’t be calling the shots behind the camera this time, he twitted the script, while still in development, has "a more hard edged tone- An Extreme case of Male-Pattern-Baddness".
