AMERICAN ASSASSIN follows the rise of Mitch Rapp ( Dylan O’Brien ), a CIA black ops recruit under the instruction of Cold War veteran Stan Hurley ( Michael Keaton ). Amid a torrent of announcements at today’s D23 animation panel, we learned that John Lasseter will not be directing 2019's Toy Story 4 , as previously thought, passing the reins to Josh Cooley instead. Following in the footsteps of Lee Unkrich , who took over from Lasseter on Toy Story 3 , Cooley will lead Buzz, Woody and the gang on their fourth outing, having come a long way from his days as a Pixar intern on the first Cars film, before stepping up to become a writer on inside Out . Taking to the stage, Cooley teed up a short teaser film of him wandering the Pixar offices and talking to many of the artists and designers involved in the film. Apes, together, strong! RAMA is back. War For The Planet Of The Apes is extraordinary. It’s got Oscar written all over it. Simply one of this year’s best. Goes to prove that with the right technology and the right storytelling quality and a perfectly clear end-goal, a reboot of an old franchise can get better and better with each installment. Written by Mark Bomback and Matt Reeves who directed it, in “War For The Planet of The Apes,” Caesar and his apes try their best to let humans know that they don’t want war. But a tragedy occurs which forces Caesar to track down and confront a ruthless colonel. As his vengeful quest goes on, Caesar wrestles with his darker instincts and must ultimately face the decision that will determine the fate of both species. What’s incredible about “War for The Planet of The Apes” in my opinion is that it doesn’t just offer the final conflict between man and apes. The true grit of the story lies in the characters’ battling their own personal demons
