Hicks lives! By Brandon Wolfe It has been rumored for months now, ever since his scarred visage appeared in Neill Blomkamp’s concept art , but it has been reported that Michael Biehn has confirmed his involvement with Blomkamp’s quickly snowballing Alien sequel , reprising his role as Corporal Dwayne Hicks. Biehn allegedly made the announcement some time ago on his (since-deactivated) Instagram page, but word hadn’t travelled through the blogosphere because his profile was not made public. Biehn reportedly has said the following: "It's official. I will be reprising my role as 'Cpl.' (Not for long...) Dwayne Hicks. With the go-ahead, Hicks will return with Ripley in mid 2017. Perhaps Hicks and Ripley well eventually get to second base in this one." That 2017 target date is news, though not necessarily that surprising since Blomkamp has said that this new Alien will be his next film.
