Here is Zach's interview with Scott Z Burns and Daniel J. Jones for The Report.  Truly a fun experience at my first on-camera press junket! Enjoy the interview and make sure to check out the movie. Hey Lulu! …. Er, Rachel. In all honesty, have you been getting that at all? I do hope people can separate the two? -Haha. Yes, I have been getting that, but more from my friends, family and people online. Read the entire interview after the Jump... How much is that show to work on though? It looks like a dream gig! -It’s a super laid-back production. The crew and cast are a bunch of goofballs but we are also a smaller group, so I feel strongly about what we all bring to the table. Do you get along with the co-stars? No on-set kerfuffles? -We do get along really well. All three of us will crack jokes about each other all day long, which is perfect. Interview: John Beaton Hill Talks Wolves of Savin Hill, How It Was Making The Film & More

Interview By: Beevers John Beaton Hill recently walked away with the Chris Brinker award at the San Diego Film Festival for his crime thriller Wolves of Savin Hill – and with good reason, the film is terrific. We spoke to the Boston-born filmmaker about his De Palma-esque thriller, due for release next year. What is it about Los Angeles that lends itself to a good crime thriller story? The setting. Los Angeles is a fantastic and beautiful place and when it’s lit up at night there’s nothing like it. It has its own qualities. It’s also big, and in this way a person can find refuge even from himself. There’s a duality to Los Angeles that makes it both quite beautiful and alluring but also sinister. As a setting, it can make a film special. We looked for this in our film and I think we captured the city well. We were certainly thinking in this regard. How long ago did you set out to make the movie? How tough was it to get off the ground? Approximately two years ago we s...

Interview By: Beevers Beevers had a chance to talk to Rachel Faulkner – about her film Hillbilly Horror Show Vol.1 and her role in Ride Along 2 Hillbilly Horror Show started out as a webseries; now, thanks to its popularity on the w’s, the horror-shorts show is getting a DVD relelease. Read the entire interview after the Jump... Hillbilly Horror Show hits DVD this month. Has this been a long time coming for you? When was the series shot? Currently, we just wrapped up filming volume four, so once we get volume one on shelves, we’ll be releasing each volume in the upcoming months. It’s still surreal to think that I’ll be on DVD stands in a matter of weeks. Do you find it easy to watch yourself on screen? I’m not going to lie. I almost always laugh at myself when I see myself on screen. Even if ...

DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES Short-Film Prequels. #DawnofApes

With Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes picking up ten years after Rise left off, you might be curious as to what exactly has occurred in the intervening period. As luck – and 20th Century Fox’s marketing bods – would have it, there are three new viral videos showing exactly that. And, from humanity’s point of view, it’s not too pretty. Ape-manity, meanwhile, is out there... biding its time. Motherboard, Vice’s production arm, is behind these three virals that offer a glimpse into the decade elapsed, as well as a further video that takes us to an ape testing facility in Liberia. The standout, Story Of Gun, boasts obvious echoes of Winchester 73 in charting the breakdown of law and order in society as shotgun passes from one pair of hands to another. And another... See all the stories after the Jump... The intervening period has brought the spread of the Simian Flu. First isolated cases, then an epidemic and finally a full-blow pandemic has devastated the human population and b...
