Who Will Defend Us? New X-Men: Apocalypse Poster

A couple of days ago, the latest poster for X-Men: Apocalypse dropped , featuring the main threat and his four powerful accomplices. Now it's the turn of the people who will be trying to stop him. The story this time finds Apocalypse ( Oscar Isaac ) awakening in 1983 to discover that the Earth isn't what he intended it to be. So he does what any ancient, staggeringly powerful mutant would do: he sets about altering it in radical ways. But he doesn't count on the X-Men, led by Charles Xavier (James McAvoy). This third outing for the First Class gang finds them in different places, both physically and mentally. Charles is running his school for gifted youngsters. Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) is off on her own mission, while Magneto (Michael Fassbender) has opted for the quiet life, at least before Apocalypse comes calling. With Sophie Turner, Nicholas Hoult, Rose Byrne, Evan Peters, Kodi Smit-Mcphee and Tye Sheridan also part of the cast, X-Men: Apocalypse will be out h...

X-Men: Apocalypse Teaser Poster

There have been sneak peeks and images of the various characters, but the trailer for X-Men: Apocalypse is on its way. Before that drops, however, here comes the Silver Surfer-like herald of the teaser poster. It’s a fairly basic image, showing the traditional metallic movie X looking like it’s under some serious heat, which is what our heroes will be feeling this time around thanks to Oscar Isaac’s titular threat, ready to cause trouble for James McAvoy’s Professor X, Michael Fassbender’s Magneto and the rest. The film’s story finds our heroes split across the globe: The Prof is still trying to help mutants blend in with the world, while Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) is on her own crusade to settle matters between humans and mutants in a more violent fashion. Magneto, meanwhile, is opting for a quieter life of love in Poland. At least, that is, until Apocalypse comes a-calling and recruits him… And the endlessly dangerous mutant is also taking on what has always been known in the...

Bryan Singer To Direct 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea

In keeping with his tradition of handling his own PR through social media, Bryan Singer has announced his next film via his Instagram account . According to the director, he’s planning an adaptation of Jules Verne’s 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea . It’s certainly an ambitious project, and one that has defeated the likes of McG and, most famously in recent years, David Fincher . The latter got as far as trying to land Brad Pitt for the lead and locking down Australian studio space and locations for his take on the adventure tale with a script by Andrew Kevin Walker. Now Singer – no stranger to big films following the likes of X-Men: Days Of Future Past and its incoming follow-up X-Men: Apocalypse – has a screenplay written by Rick Sordelet and Jack The Giant Slayer’s Dan Studney based on a story by the director and his writers. And, of course, drawing from Verne’s novel, which features the temperamental Captain Nemo and his giant sub the Nautilus, which has been brought to the ...

First Look At #XMenApocalypse

Though we’ve seen concept art and one or two behind the scenes images courtesy of director Bryan Singer, this year’s San Diego Comic-Con was the first chance to glimpse the big bad of X-Men: Apocalypse and some of the other characters as they’ll appear in the movie. Now, with Entertainment Weekly’s latest issue, there are some fresh images for all. See all the images after the Jump... Oscar Isaac playing Apocalypse, given that he’s pretty much hidden behind layers of make-up and prosthetics to play the ancient, powerful mutant. But there he is, ready to cause trouble for James McAvoy’s Professor X, Michael Fassbender’s Magneto and the rest. The film’s story finds our heroes split across the world: the Prof is still trying to help mutants blend in with the world, while Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) is on her own crusade to settle matters between humans and mutants in a more violent fashion. Clip From X-Men: Days of Future Past #RogueCut

X-Men fans have been eagerly anticipating the blu-ray release of X-Men: Days of Future Past Rogue Cut . This version of the blockbuster, out July 14, features the subplot involving Anna Paquin’s Rogue, a section that ultimately had to be cut from the film. Director Bryan Singer originally broke the news of the major change with EW back in late 2013. “Through the editing process, the sequence became extraneous,” explained Singer. “It’s a really good sequence and it will probably end up on the DVD so people can see it. But like many things in the editing process, it was an embarrassment of riches and it was just one of the things that had to go. Unfortunately, it was the one and only sequence Anna Paquin was in, the Rogue character was in.” Fans will now get to see how Rogue originally fit into Days of Future Past. In this exclusive clip, Bobby (Shawn Ashmore) and Magneto (Ian McKellen) attempt to rescue Rogue, who’s being tested on by scientists inside Cerebro. Fans who purc...

Quicksilver Returning For X-Men: Apocalypse

Scene stealer to take another run at audiences. By Brandon Wolfe For last summer’s X-Men: Days of Future Past , the biggest gripe in advance of the film’s release concerned Evan Peters’ Quicksilver . The character’s silver hair, shiny jacket and welder goggles looked goofy in stills, and that dumb Carl’s Jr. commercial didn’t help, either. Plus, the fact that Joss Whedon was also putting the character into Avengers: Age of Ultron with a less risible appearance seemed to instantly render Peters’ interpretation as the lesser Quicksilver straight out of the gate. Now fast-forward a year and the X-Men version of Quicksilver stole the show and had one of the best scenes in any movie last year with his slo-mo “Time in a Bottle” set piece, while the Avengers version died on the table and is already mostly forgotten. So it was a no-brainer for the character to return for next summer’s X-Men: Apocalypse , and director Bryan Singer confirmed in a set photo on Instagram today that the zi...

X-Men: Days Of Future Past #RogueCut Announcement

Director Bryan Singer broadcasted via Periscope live from the set of X-Men: Apocalypse this morning to share a very special announcement with fans. The X-Men: Days of Future Past Rogue Cut is coming to Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD July 14th. Anna Paquin’s iconic character X-Men character, Rogue, actually had scenes in “X-Men: Days Of Future Past”, but it got cut because it just didn’t fit into the big picture that was always meant to focus on Xavier (James McAvoy) Thankfully, 20th Century Fox wants to bring you these deleted scenes in the movie’s own extended version; these scenes will be added back to the film and re-released as the “Rogue Cut” which contains extra footage, not just Rogue scenes, but other sequences involving other characters as well. Watch the announcement after the Jump... CLICK HERE to watch (or re-watch) Singer's broadcast on the Periscope app, and visit FoxDigitalHD.com for pre-order. Please Leave A Comment-
