Warner Bros. Pictures announced today that Christopher Nolan will direct “ Dunkirk ” from his own original screenplay. An epic action thriller, “ Dunkirk ” is set during the legendary evacuation. The announcement was made by Greg Silverman, President, Creative Development and Worldwide Production. The large scale film will be shot on a combination of IMAX 65mm and 65mm large format film photography for maximum image quality and high impact immersion. Shooting will begin in May using many of the real locations of the true-life events, which form the background for the story. The cast will be headed by yet-to-be cast unknowns. Mark Rylance, Kenneth Branagh and Tom Hardy are currently in talks to join the ensemble. Nolan will also produce the film with his longtime producing partner Emma Thomas. Between SNL, ‘ Billy Madison ’, ‘ Happy Gilmore ’ and his comedy albums, Sandler offered a uniquely silly, often surreal voice that set him apart from his peers. Many comedians trafficked in juvenilia, but Sandler turned being stupid into something approaching a weirdo art form. Yet before long, Sandler got lazy, content in the knowledge that he could do essentially anything and the public would reward him with an easy $100 million each time out. Veronica Mars Review By: Brandon Wolfe Before we begin talking about the ‘ Veronica Mars ’ movie, we must first take a step back to appreciate how insane it is that a ‘ Veronica Mars ’ movie exists at all and is playing in theaters nationwide. I realize that the explanation behind the movie’s existence is quite simple. The producers put it up on Kickstarter, the fans coughed up the money and here we are. But setting that aside, this has to be the unlikeliest movie made since probably ‘ Serenity ’ (though it isn’t less likely than ‘ Serenity ’, as I still can’t believe that movie was allowed to happen). ‘ Veronica Mars ’ the TV show, has been off the air since 2007 (it’s actually been gone longer than ‘ The Sopranos ’, if only by a few weeks).
