Perennial bubble show Chuck has apparently avoided cancellation once again. While NBC sources are not confirming that the spy-fi series will get a fifth season, several sources are reporting that a deal is being hammered out with Warner Bros. and is imminent. Though the ratings have been at their lowest this spring, Warner Bros. would love to make a deal, because five seasons of Chuck means syndication. As for NBC, well, scripted drama has not been the network's friend. That said, don't be surprised if we get a shorter 13-episode final season. So, while it looks like fans won't have to eat mountains of Subway sandwiches to save Chuck as they did to insure a third season of the show, there are no such hopeful murmurings for The Event, which has even lower ratings. Rachel Bilson has signed to star in the CW drama pilot Hart of Dixie.  The project reunites Bilson with Josh Schwartz; the two worked together on the Fox drama The O.C . before Schwartz went on to develop Gossip Girl for the CW. Rachel Bilson Returns To TV In CW's  Hart of Dixie Bilson will play a New York City doctor who relocates to a small southern town — filled with eccentric characters, of course — when she inherits a medical practice there. The fish-out-of-water drama is produced by Warner Bros. Television and Schwartz and Stephanie Savage’s Fake Empire shingle.  NBC Orders Full Season Of Chuck NBC today announced is has ordered full-season picks for " Chuck ": NBC has given full-season pickups to  the returning action-comedy " Chuck " for 2010-11. The announcement was made by Angela Bromstad, President, Primetime Entertainment, NBC and Universal Media Studios. Through October 18, " Chuck " has averaged a 2.2 rating, 6 share in adults 18-49 and 5.9 million viewers overall in "most current" averages from Nielsen Media Research. Smallville Episode 1 "Lazarus"Review By: Jason Albrecht Smallville is a comic lover’s embarrassment. I want to like it, and at times I do (very few and very far between). Last season had a few bright points ( Hawkman for one), but the season premiere let down every hope I had from the season finale. I have nothing good to say about it. Nothing. It had moments where it could have stopped being reserved and grabbed the bull by the reigns. Have Chloe become Dr. Fate . How cool would that have been? But it would have been too bold for Smallville. It’s the last season for Clark ’s sake. Give him the suit early and make us love him. Instead they decided that he needs to be taught another lesson, again. At least we saw this season’s villain: Darkseid (the impending darkness hinted at heavy handedly last season and throughout the first episode of this season). But seriously? He formed out of a moving cloud of smoke?? This isn’t Lost and that’s no smoke monster.

The fact that the Desperate Housewives star was game to do this speaks volumes about her appreciation for that role (and the role it played in her future career). Maggie Q One Sexy Assassin Have you wanted to know who Maggie Q was after seeing those hot promos for her upcoming show on the CW called " Nikita ?" Sure you know the face (In 2006, she starred alongside Tom Cruise in Mission: Impossible III . She played Zhen, the only female member of the IMF team. In 2007, she appeared in the Bruce Willis movie Live Free or Die Hard , the fourth film in the Die Hard series, and in Balls of Fury ) but this will be her first leading role. Nikita , the third reinterpretation of Luc Besson’s 1990 film La Femme Nikita , about a young junkie and convicted murderer trained to be a killer by a nefarious organization. The CW’s version picks up three years after Nikita, played by Q, has gone rogue. She’s determined to bring down Divison, the agency that conscripted her, and to that end she must infiltrate this nightclub, decked out in theoretically unsuitable assassin-chic gear: black mesh, leather, bra, and not much else. Smallville Season 10 Surprise & Panel Update We have been hearing things about the " Lazarus " first episode of the tenth and final season of Smallville. A few site out there are reporting that the character has been dead so a awhile and will be resurrected for more then one episode of the show. Spoiler Alert: None other than John Schneider is set to return to the series in Season 10, reprising his role as Clark's adoptive human father, Jonathan Kent. Obviously Jonathan's return raises some questions, given that the character died back in Season 5 . I can't reveal yet the how and why of Jonathan's appearance, but I can tell you that we'll see him in the season premiere, entitled "Lazarus." In addition, Schneider is expected to appear in at least one other episode as the season continues. Season will premiere on  Friday, September 24th on The CW .
