BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Ruben Fleischer To Direct Uncharted

Here we go again... The seemingly poisoned chalice that is the directing assignment on Sony's adaptation of the Uncharted is now likely to end up in the hands of Zombieland 's Ruben Fleischer, who has landed at the top of the studio's wishlist. The Uncharted series, should you be unaware, is a globe-trotting, loot-hunting set of Playstation games, blending Indiana Jones-style adventuring with several parts Tomb Raider and just a dash of National Treasure. Its hero is Nathan Drake (voiced by Nolan North), who undertakes action-packed trips to the likes of El Dorado, Shambala and the Iram of the Pillars, quipping many a quip and shooting many a henchman along the way. A film based on the game has become a revolving door of filmmakers and actors, with Bumblebee's Travis Knight the most recent director to vacate the seat as the studio aims to have the movie shooting before current star Tom Holland swings off to appear in the next Spider-Man film later this year. Tom Holland To Star As Nathan Drake In Uncharted Film

After spending several years approaching various writers, directors and actors and getting nowhere close to a completed film, Sony has decided to go in another new direction for the adaptation of video game series Uncharted . With Shawn Levy already attached to direct, the studio now has Tom Holland aboard to play a young Nathan Drake. The new idea is to frame the story as a prequel to the games' normal timeline of an older Drake, taking its inspiration from a sequence in the third of Naughty Dog's titles that followed the character as a young thief and his first encounter with professional rogue Sullivan. And following attempts by Joe Carnahan, David Guggenheim, David O. Russell and more to craft something, another writer will be brought in to develop the script afresh with Levy. If the first film ends up made – it feels like it finally could be, but with this hot potato, we're not counting any chickens – the studio is looking to launch a new franchise with Holland

#GeekFuel Review: May 2016

Geek Fuel's May release brings the geek, but still confuses. Review by Matt Cummings For the past few months, Geek Fuel has shown us something that we never thought would happen: improve the quality of its monthly items without raising the price. That represents a significant change in an industry where consistency has been a real problem. March and April showed us that change was coming, even if the boxes were such a mish-mash that theme could not be discerned. May does the same thing, continuing to expose GFs weak side of timing, but making a good case that they might have learned their lesson. Before diving in, let's review the details: The cost for a Month to Month is $17.90, $16.90/month for a 3-month subscription, $15.90/month for a 6-month tour and just $13.90/month for a one-year subscription. Shipping $6.00 to the US, Canada, and at least a few other countries. We use QUALITY and TIMING to base our reviews, so let's see how this box stands
