Describing its new seven-year deal with Fox as the ultimate "milestone" for a sport that has broken out of its niche, UFC president Dana White said the deal would propel the mixed martial arts genre and UFC "to the next level." "There have been a lot of big milestones that we've had over the last ten years," White said during a press conference Thursday announcing the deal. "But I have to be totally honest when I say that this is the biggest." Taking UFC to Fox, added White, "is what I always wanted. This is what I always felt was the pinnacle for us. Not just to be on the No. 1 network in the country, but to be on a network with other big sports, NFL, Major League Baseball, NASCAR." Mixed martial arts producer Ultimate Fighting Championship has held talks to buy a controlling stake in NBCUniversal's G4 cable network, sources confirmed a report by The Wall Street Journal on Wednesday. A source familiar with the situation said UFC has also talked to other networks ahead of the expiration of its current content deal with Viacom's Spike network . UFC also offers regular pay per view events. Talks are at an early stage, the person said. UFC and G4 officials declined comment. UFC fighter Randy Couture has signed on to co-star in Set Up , the heist action movie starring Bruce Willis and Ryan Phillippe . The movie, which counts Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and Jenna Dewan Tatum among the cast, centers on small time crooks and revenge, and is shooting in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Mike Gunther is directing from a script he co-wrote with Mike Behrman. Couture will play an enforcer who works for a local crime lord ( Willis ) tasked to oversee Jackson on an assignment. Couture was last seen in The Expendables for Lionsgate and will be reprising his role as Toll Road in The Expendables 2. Couture also co-starred in David Mamet’s Red Belt for Sony Classics and played a recurring character on CBS’ The Unit. Set Up is the first from a recently announced $200 million fund on which Jackson and Randall Emmett's Cheetah Vision banner is teaming with George Furla's Hedge Fund Film Partners. Kevin James To Enter The Octagon If you follow or watch the UFC then you have seen Kevin James at many of the fights. It looks like he will be entering the octagon very soon. Sony made a deal to have James star in an untitled Mixed Martial Art comedy that will start production next year. The script will be written by Allan Loeb (Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps) which should be interesting. James is attached to play a physics teacher whose school faces drastic cutbacks. In an attempt to save his best friend's job and the music program his students love, he moonlights in the octagon as a mixed martial arts fighter, ultimately leading to brawling in the UFC. Jessica Biel To Join Cast Of The A-Team Movie This Movie Is just getting Better and Better looking. It is in my top five movies most looking foward to in 2010. Sharlto Copley , the star of this summer's breakout hit "District 9," is in final negotiations to portray "Howling Mad" Murdock in Fox's "A-Team" feature film. Jessica Biel is also in negotiations to join the production. Copley and Biel will join Liam Neeson, Bradley Cooper and Quinton "Rampage" Jackson to round out the special forces team convicted of a crime they didn't commit and on the run from government forces. Joe Carnahan is directing the adaptation of the 1980s television show, while Ridley and Tony Scott produce. Copley seemingly came out of nowhere to star in "District 9," landing the role in the movie due to childhood friend Neill Blomkamp's fondness for Copley's improvisational skills, skills which will be ideally suited to the Murdock character.
