While he has been shooting, David Lynch has tried to keep details of the cast for the Twin Peaks revival under wraps. But set sightings, leaks and the usual 'net-based flow of information revealed such names as Naomi Watts, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Amanda Seyfried and Ashley Judd aboard. Now we know exactly who will be in the new show, as a huge list of 217 names has officially arrived online. To list them all would require several hours, so here are just a few, including Tim Roth, Monica Bellucci, Michael Cera, Jim Belushi, Josh McDermitt, Francesca Eastwood, John Billingsley, Ernie Hudson , and some more surprising folk, including Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam and NIN's Trent Reznor . Peter Sarsgaard Joins #TwinPeaks

While David Lynch and co-creator Mark Frost have tried to keep details of their Twin Peaks revival more under wraps than the location of the Black Lodge, little snippets of casting info keep leaking. TV Line reports that Peter Sarsgaard has taken a recurring role in the show. Exactly what that shape the new series' ensemble is taking (and how Sarsgaard will fit into it) is still largely a mystery, but we do know that Kyle MacLachlan is confirmed as returning as Agent Dale Cooper, while Ray Wise, Sheryl Lee and Sherilyn Fenn are all apparently returning and Amanda Seyfried, Robert Knepper and Balthazar Getty are among the new additions. Lynch and co-creator Mark Frost are shooting the series now in Washington state, with 18 episodes planned for the Showtime cable network at some point in 2017. And to keep everyone intrigued, the channel has put out a tiny teaser, featuring footage of Michael J. Anderson’s Man From Another Place dancing in the Red Room, though the footage ...

Fox Officially Reopens The X-Files

The truth is that six new episodes will soon be out there. By Brandon Wolfe Looks like those rumors have panned out: The X-Files is indeed returning to television. The iconic ‘90s sci-fi series will be returning to Fox as a six-episode event series a whopping 13 years after it bowed out. Stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson will reprise their roles as FBI agents Mulder and Scully and series creator/executive producer Chris Carter will also be returning. Production on the event series will gear up this summer, but the air date and plot have yet to be revealed. “I think of it as a 13-year commercial break,” said Carter. “The good news is the world has only gotten that much stranger, a perfect time to tell these six stories.” It’s actually been just seven years since Mulder and Scully last resurfaced, in 2008’s critical and commercial big-screen failure, The X-Files: I Want to Believe . That sequel seemed to be the death knell for the franchise as we knew it, but thi...

Kyle MacLachlan Will Return To Twin Peaks

There was much genuine excitement when David Lynch , co-creator Mark Frost and US cable network Showtime put rumors to rest by confirming that mystery series Twin Peaks would be back on our screens in 2016. One element that was still not set in stone was the return of the show’s anchor, leading man Kyle MacLachlan , as FBI Agent Dale Cooper. Now we know for sure that he’s back. With Showtime boss David Nevins attending the Television Critics Association’s winter press tour, he was briefly joined on stage by MacLachlan, who emerged from backstage wearing a natty suit and bearing a mug, which contained Cooper’s now-trademark beverage request of “damn fine coffee. And hot.” Lynch also tweeted an image of MacLachlan in his suit. "I'm very excited to return to the strange and wonderful world of Twin Peaks," MacLachlan told the TV critics. "We look forward to seeing all of you there. May the forest be with you.” Nevins admitted that he had to convince Lynch and Fro...
