Disney To Air Tron And The Avengers Animated Series

Disney To Air Tron And The Avengers Animated Series Disney Channel is developing a "Tron" animated series to follow the upcoming theatrical release of "Tron: Legacy." The news was part of Disney's upfront presentation Tuesday evening to media buyers and clients, which included a preview of the "Tron" series. Geared towards kids age 6-14, the plan is to precede "Tron" with another project, a 10-part "Tron" micro-series premiering in fall 2011 on Disney XD. Gary Marsh, entertainment president and chief creative officer of Disney Channels Worldwide, also offered a glimpse of "Legacy," which is at such an early juncture in the development process that only stills were available. "Tron is another example of how we can take advantage of the intellectual property that the studio unit pays tens, if not hundreds, of millions to develop and market," said Marsh. The "Tron" projects represent a CGI-refresh of Disne

Tron:Legacy Spoilers Revealed And Disneyland Update

Tron:Legacy Spoilers Revealed And Disneyland Update If you were unable to attend the Tron:Legacy special event on Saturday we have a break down on the footage and the Q and A with the director. I did notice that no site has talked about the question that was asked during the Q and A. Someone asked a Question "About the possibility of bringing a Tron Themed ride to Disneyland and also about turning the Starcade into Flynn's Arcade?" Joseph Kosinski just smiled and said "Just wait and see," I really hope they do bring something to Disneyland that has a Tron theme . How cool would that be to walk into Flynn's Arcade and play all those 80's video games with all the great music. I also included some footage I took during Comic Con 2009. We included a new image from the upcoming movie. It shows an over head shot of Flynn's Arcade with his son Sam on his motorcycle heading to the arcade . Make sure you become a fan of The Official Tron page on Facebook .

Tron:Legacy Director Talks Film and Imax

Tron:Legacy Director Talks Film and Imax Joseph Kosinski Talks about Tron:Legacy and The film being in 3d and heading to Imax With principal photography on the film wrapped, the director is hard at work on the visual-effects work Disney is hoping will be unlike anything audiences have ever seen. Much of the work was done last year, but looking at 2010, does it feel like this is an important professional year for you? I'm about two and a half years in on this, with about another year still to go. We still have a tremendous amount of work still to do, because there are a lot of visual effects on a movie like this, and we're also doing it in 3-D, which doubles up everything. Then sound design and tweaking the music. It's not the home stretch by any means. Will the finished film look pretty much like what we've seen in that test footage from Comic-Con? I would say it's not far removed. The teaser, at least tonally, represented the direction I wanted to take it. That seq

“Ouija” Movie Has Found It's Writers

“Ouija” Movie Has Found It's Writers Universal has tapped “Tron Legacy” writers Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz to pen the board game-to-screen adaptation, which is being produced by Platinum Dunes’ Michael Bay, Brad Fuller and Andrew Form as well as Brian Goldner and Bennett Schneir of Hasbro. The studio is looking at the project as a supernatural action-adventure movie. It is possible that certain rules of the game — never use it alone, never use it in a graveyard, always say good-bye — figure into the plot. Ouija boards, also known as spirit or talking boards, have been used to communicate with the spirit world for more than 200 decades. The board as its known today was manufactured by William Fuld in the 1890s, then acquired by Parker Bros. in 1966. Since then, 12 million copies have been sold, according to Hasbro, which acquired Parker Bros. in 1991. Please Leave A Comment- Source- THR

Tron Legacy from Comic Con Exclusive Pictures and Preview of the Movie

It's not quite a trailer, what you see here. Disney has it labeled "Visual Effects Concept Test Footage." If memory serves, this is the revelatory footage screened at last year's Con, with lightcycle action and Jeff Bridges looking all mean and bearded. One of the most anticipated films of 2011 is "Tron Legacy," the sequel to the 1982 sci-fi movie "Tron." Disney didn't disappoint fans during their 3-D panel at San Diego Comic-Con on Thursday. Filmmakers and members of the cast, including Jeff Bridges reprising his role as Kevin Flynn, introduced footage revealing that the story revolves around Kevin's son Sam. "I go on search for my father and find myself in this crazy world," said actor Garrett Hedlund, who plays Sam Flynn. What he finds is that the world of Tron has been sitting on a server and in that time has evolved on its own. "It's become darker and more realistic, feeling more like a photo surreal environment,&quo
