After months of barely hearing anything about the casting for the Top Gun sequel, here comes another announcement hot on the heels of the most recent additions. Jon Hamm, Ed Harris and Lewis Pullman are all joining Tom Cruise in the new movie. The sequel, which may still go by the title Top Gun: Maverick after the call sign of Cruise's Peter Mitchell, will explore a world where aerial combat is increasingly shifting from crewed aircraft to drones. But there is still a need for human pilots, so the likes of Mitchell are training the next generation.
