In a surprising development, director Tim Miller has departed Deadpool 2 due, according to Deadline, to creative differences with star Ryan Reynolds . The duo, of course, crafted the original Deadpool, which became a blockbuster beyond anyone's expectations. Of Miller, the site comments, "He hadn't formally signed a deal to continue, but he was developing the script and by all accounts had planned to return behind the camera." The departure was reportedly an amicable one, and Fox is intending on having Miller direct an adaptation of author David Suarez' Influx. According to THR , Fox is betting that audiences will not get a load of Deadpool when the movie opens this weekend but will immediately want more, which is why the studio is already working on a sequel. Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, who wrote Deadpool, are writing the script for a follow-up, which has already been greenlighted. The fact that a sequel is in the works should not be a surprise at this point.
