BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

(EXCLUSIVE): #BatmanvSuperman Takes a Huge Hit

Its second-week slide is one of the largest in history. Story by Matt Cummings Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice witnessed a monumental drop in its second week in theaters, marking it as one of the highest declines ever. At 68% (far higher than the traditional 60%), Warner Bros.' tentpole is starting to look like a misfire. After a strong domestic opening of $166m, the pundits were scratching their heads as to how a film with a "B" CinemaScore and a 29% Rotten Tomatoes rating could rake in that much cash. Additionally, Monday ($33m) and Tuesday ($15m) showed strong numbers, possibly indicating a backlash by audiences who wanted to see it for themselves. But as the week wore on, numbers began to decline rapidly, with Thursday offering just $7.7m. This weekend's decline places it with other not-so-great company, including 2015's Fantastic Four (68.2%) and X-Men: The Last Stand (66.9%) The whole free fall obviously should have WB and the Zack S

Wonder Woman Finds A New Director

DC spends little time in finding Michelle MacLaren's replacement. Story by Matt Cummings With news that Director Michelle MacLaren had left the long-awaited Wonder Woman film last week, it seemed like fans might have been denied one of The Justice League's top cops. Not so much. On Wednesday, Warner Bros ( via THR ) announced that director Patty Jenkins has agreed to step in. Does the name sound familiar? It might, if you had been following the development of Thor: The Dark World. Jenkins departed that production (due to creative differences), allowing Game of Thrones helmer Alan Taylor to step in. This signing hopefully ends the small circus that had developed around the Amazonian Princess’ first solo movie. Names like Angelina Jolie were circulated, but it was the Monster director Jenkins who finally won out. She's primarily known for her director that nabbed Actress Charlize Theron a Best Actress Oscar in 2011, but Jenkins has directed episodes o

Marvel's Comic Plans to Affect The Movies?

Read on to learn how Marvel's announcements mean bigger changes to the Cinematic Universe. This week's news of major changes within Marvel Comics are potentially bigger than those when the company relauched its comic series under the new banner Marvel Now! nearly two years ago. At that time, the shifting of writers, the introduction of new lines, and the re-positioning of characters like Rocket Raccoon and The Guardians of the Galaxy made their introduction into the Cinematic Universe possible. But as news this week of shake-ups for Thor, Captain America, and Iron Man were slowly rolled out on various television talk shows, two things became very apparent. Before getting into that, let's look at the changes themselves. On Monday, Marvel announced that Thor was losing his ability to wield Mjolnir, and that his power was being transferred to a woman. On Wednesday, The Colbert Report announced that Captain America will soon be replaced by The Falcon, as America&

Our Top 10 Marvel Films: 6-1

Our list concludes with Hammers, Shields , an Iron Dude , and an epic superhero mashup. We've been counting down our top 10 Marvel films, which wasn't an easy thing considering our conundrum at #6.  We even felt a little Green Rage Monster inside of us at having to decide.  But decide we did, and so here is the rest of our list.  Please read our full reviews under each number: 6-4: THREE-WAY TIE -   Captain America: The First Avenger (2011), Thor (2011), Thor: The Dark World (2013)  Much like our bowels, our love for these three constantly shift.  We love FA because of its wholesome goodness wrapped in evil Red Skull-ness, as little Stevie Rogers becomes the ripped Avenger.  Director Joe Johnston even throws in a little Raider of the Lost Ark  reference as Hugo Weaving holds The Tesseract in his possession.  For Thor and Thor 2 , we love Loki and his high-jinks - Tom Hiddleston is Loki  in every way, embodying the desperation of a god who just gets no respect.  W

We Have Our Sarah Conner. It's Emilia Clarke

After taming dragons on “ Game of Thrones ,” Emilia Clarke is preparing to fight cyborgs as she will portray Sarah Connor in Paramount, Skydance and Annapurna’s “ Terminator ” reboot. Clarke , along with Brie Larson , tested for the part but sources say that the “Thrones” star was the early favorite. Sources said the studio was also interested in Margot Robbie, but she never read for the part. Clarke’s deal closed Friday. “ Thor: the Dark World ” helmer Alan Taylor is directing the film with Skydance and Annapurna co-financing along with the studio with David Ellison producing for Skydance and sibling Megan Ellison producing for Annapurna. Laeta Kalogridis and Patrick Lussier penned the script. Plot details have not been revealed other than the project serving as the first film in a stand alone trilogy. “ Zero Dark Thirty” star Jason Clarke began negotiations this week to play the iconic role of John Connor, the son of Sarah Connor. Besides Clarke, Arnold Schwarzenegge
