Daredevil Series Is Cancelled

Most of his Defenders comrades have already fallen, but we were thinking that the Devil Of Hell's Kitchen might just hang on. Yet the axe came from Netflix today, as Daredevil has been cancelled after a three-season run. "Marvel’s Daredevil will not return for a fourth season on Netflix," the company said in a statement to Deadline. "We are tremendously proud of the show’s last and final season and although it’s painful for the fans, we feel it best to close this chapter on a high note. We’re thankful to our partners at Marvel, showrunner Erik Oleson, the show’s writers, stellar crew and incredible cast including Charlie Cox as Daredevil himself, and we’re grateful to the fans who have supported the show over the years." But if the news makes you sad, take heart, as the statement included this interesting nugget: "While the series on Netflix has ended, the three existing seasons will remain on the service for years to come, while the Daredevil chara

TV Review: #DaredevilSeason2 Badass To The Bone!

Badass to the bone! RAMA is back with another review. Please keep in mind that the following review of Daredevil season 2 is based solely on my having watched the first few episodes, I haven’t seen this new season in its entirety, yet but I’m stoked enough to at least start sharing you my thoughts about it. Just like you, I too was a huge fan of season 1, and my goodness if you think Vincent D’Onofrio’s villainous character, Wilson Fisk, was brutal and merciless, wait till you get a load of everyone’s favorite anti-hero, Frank Castle/Punisher, played by “The Walking Dead” alum, Jon Bernthal In season 1, Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) was having a rough start, getting used to this whole vigilante, it was a trial-and-error work-in-progress learning along the way type of work. And now, in season 2, just when Matt thinks he’s getting used to bringing order back to the city, fact of the matter is Wilson Fisk’s absence creates vacuum, every gang in town is fighting to fill the void. But

Daredevil Season 2 Trailer. First Look Of The Punisher & Elektra

Daredevil’s second season brings back Charlie Cox’s blind lawyer-turned-vigilante superhero Matt Murdock, Deborah Ann Woll as legal secretary Karen Page, Elden Henson as law partner Foggy Nelson, Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple and Vincent D’Onofrio as crime kingpin Wilson Fisk. We also know that Scott Glenn will be back as Matt’s grumpy mentor Stick. New this year will be Elodie Yung as Elektra Natchios, a woman from Matt’s past who will re-enter his life (as is fitting for one of his main love interests in the comics) and Jon Bernthal, who will be tooling up as Frank Castle, AKA The Punisher. Season 2 doesn’t have a confirmed date yet, but if it follows the release pattern of last year, it should be with us in April next year. Watch the trailer after the Jump... #Daredevil Season 2 Poster

For all the current focus on the second Marvel/Netflix series to come down the pipe – Jessica Jones – there’s still more Daredevil to think about. The Man Without Fear will be back on our screens next year and Marvel is reminding the world with a new poster. The image, which uses concept art from the show and harkens back to the comic book itself, was put online by Chief Creative Officer Joe Quesada and will be handed out to attendees at the New York Comic-Com, which kicks off tomorrow and runs through the weekend. Jon Bernthal Cast as The Punisher in Daredevil Season 2

Walking Dead alum to play gun-toting Marvel antihero. By Brandon Wolfe It has been revealed that not only will The Punisher be making his MCU debut in Season 2 of Netflix’s Daredevil , but that Jon Bernthal ( The Walking Dead ’s Shane) will follow in the footsteps of Dolph Lundgren, Thomas Jane and Ray Stevenson as skull-shirted vigilante Frank Castle. No word yet on if this incarnation of the Punisher will be hero, villain or antihero. The smart money is that he will be the darker mirror image of Matt Murdock’s more morally upstanding crusader, and that the two will oppose each other. Daredevil ’s second season will premiere on Netflix in 2016. Discuss this story with fellow SJF fans on Facebook . Adi Shankar's "In Service of Nothing" Bootleg PreViz

Adi Shankar releases another short film, this time starring James Bond. Story by Matt Cummings With SPECTRE releasing a character poster this week of a turtlenecked Daniel Craig, it actually wasn't the only piece of Bond-related news of note. Dredd producer Adi Shankar premiered another in his 'bootleg' short film series, which includes the ultra-violent (and ultra-awesome) Power/Rangers short . It was notorious booted off the web due to copyright issues, but soon found its way back, making an instant hit with over 13 million views. This time, he's tackled none other than James Bond in a 16-minute PreViz feature titled In Service of Nothing , directed by Tyler Gibb and produced by Shankar. From the way Gibb and Shankar portray Sean Connery (voiced by Christopher Gee), it's definitely reminiscent of a 60's Goldfinger style, that is until we fast-forward to an aged Bond reflected on his "past transgressions." Here, Bond is a man wi
