Despite rumors to the contrary, vampires don't suck (sorry), especially if you’re Warner Bros Television. While it’s been announced that The Vampire Diaries is going into it final season, there are plans afoot to keep the undead alive at the studio with a TV series reboot and complete reimagining of 1987’s The Lost Boys . That film, directed by Joel Schumacher and starring Jason Patric, Kiefer Sutherland, Jami Gertz and the Coreys (Haim and Feldman), dealt with a pair of Arizona brothers who unexpectedly go up against a local gang of vampires. The intent of the series, being written and produced by iZombie's Rob Thomas, is to thoroughly examine the notion of immortality.
