BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Ed Helms To Star In The Naked Gun Reboot

Detective Frank Drebin is coming back with Ed Helms on board to portray Leslie Nielsen’s character in Paramount’s reboot of “ The Naked Gun ” comedy franchise. The studio has tapped the scripting team of Thomas Lennon and R. Ben Garant — best known for the “ Night at the Museum ” and “ Reno 911 ″ franchises, to write the screenplay as a new spin on the Drebin character. Helms starred in “ The Hangover ” trilogy and “ We’re the Millers ” and recently recently wrapped “Stretch” opposite Chris Pine and Patrick Wilson. He stars in the romcom parody “They Came Together,” which will premiere at Sundance, opposite Paul Rudd and Amy Poehler. Paramount released “ The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad! ” in 1988 with Nielsen battling Ricardo Montalban’s character plotting to assassinate Queen Elizabeth II at a baseball game in Los Angeles. Sequels “ The Naked Gun 2½: The Smell of Fear ” and “ Naked Gun 33⅓: The Final Insult ” followed in 1991 and 1994; the three films cumed $275 ...

Mel Gibson Cameo In "The Hangover 2"

Could This Change His Image? The troubled star, who was dropped by the William Morris Endeavor agency in July and has also faced allegations that he assaulted and made threats against his ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva, has signed to play a Bangkok tattooist in the highly anticipated comedy. "It's a done deal. Mel will make a cameo as a tattoo artist. Filming is taking place on the Warner Bros. lot, where a Bangkok set has been built, and Mel is expected to film his role in two weeks. Then the production moves to Thailand at the end of October." The sequel to the wildly successful 2009 " The Hangover " will follow the gang, played by Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zack Galifianakis and Justin Bartha , as they take a boys' trip to Thailand with a dangerous stop in Bangkok. Asian gangster Mr. Chow, played by Ken Jeong , will also return. It is not known if Gibson's "Hangover 2" character will reference his current real-life problems. But th...

Hangover 2 Details

You Ready For More Mr. Chow? Todd Phillips is a busy man. After making comedy look pretty effortless with The Hangover , he's back hoping to repeat the trick with roadtripper Due Date, all while gearing up for the another dose of Rohypnol-fuelled mayhem with The Hangover 2 . The sequel, scheduled to start shooting later this month, will take the bruised and battered pals to climes near and far - and in both cases, no doubt, seriously hazardous. "It takes place in Bangkok and LA," Phillips told Empire. "There's gonna be some fucked-up surprises." While the potential for fucked-up surprises in Patpong is virtually limitless, it's less of a shock to learn that Zach Galifianakis, Bradley Cooper and Ed Helms will be back at the heart of the carnage. "The three guys are back," Phillips said. "Mr. Chow's back too." More carnage, more eccentric gangster weirdness from Ken Jeong and the promise of a tiger encounter in its na...

The Hangover 2 Cast Is Ready To Go And Get A Huge Raise

The Hangover 2 Cast Is Ready To Go And Get A Huge Raise With the sucess of The Hangover Warner Bros and Legendary Pictures had commissioned a script for another installment.  The film grossed  $467 million worldwide and the film became Hollywood’s biggest grossing R rated comedy ever. I’m told that Zach Galifianakis, Bradley Cooper and Ed Helms will each be paid in the vicinity of $5 million against 4% of first dollar gross. Director/producer Todd Phillips will be paid around $10 million against 10%. For Phillips, there are also escalators and bonuses that insure if the sequel does anywhere close to the original’s $467 million worldwide gross, Phillips will not make less than his income on the original. That meter is still running, and it has passed the $50 million mark. Why was The Hangover 2 such a difficult deal to put together? It was a perfect storm of leverage: the three stars made less than $1 million collectively on a film that became Hollywood’s biggest grossing ...

Zach Galifianakis To Tell "A Funny Story"

Zach Galifianakis To Tell "A Funny Story" I don't think that I have laugh my ass so much during a movie, as much as I did watching The Hangover , . Zach Galifianakis is having a break out year so far Staring in The Hangover and also Disney's G-Force Zach Galifianakis, breakout star of The Hangover, is in negotiations to star in A Funny Story, alongside Emma Roberts and with Half-Nelson writer-directors Ryan Fleck and Anna Boden, er, writing and directing. The story's set in a mental institute, so immediately we're saying that this is comedy of the darker and more dramatic sort. Based on Ned Vizzini's young-adult novel, it's the story of a teenage boy (as-yet uncast) who is sent to the institution following a bout of depression. He somehow ends up in an adult ward (the Daily Mail would be up in arms) and befriends a number of odd adults and an unusual teenage girl. Galifianakis would play one of the most prominent of the adult patients, while ...
