Bomb Scare On The Set Of The Green Hornet Looks like someone doesn't want this movie made. The production of this movie has been going threw so many issue since they first announced that the movie was going to get made.The production has been delayed, the release date was bumped, and Stephen Chow quit as director and later as the actor playing Kato. This after writers as diverse as Christopher McQuarrie and Kevin Smith tried and failed to adapt the material for film. It happened at a parking lot in the Mid-Wilshire area of Los Angeles. The crew found an unidentified metal object and called authorities. We're told the LAPD bomb squad responded and blew up the object with a robot. It was not a bomb. Hopefully, the movie isn't either. Nicolas Cage Explains "Green Hornet" Choice He is in or is he out. He is out and that came from the horse mouth. Nicolas Cage says he dropped out of "The Green Hornet" film because of creative differences with star and screenwriter Seth Rogen and director Michel Gondry . Cage discussed his decision while appearing at the Toronto International Film Festival to promote the darkly comic film, " Bad Lieutenant, Port of Call: New Orleans ." He had been in talks to play the lead villain opposite Vancouver's Rogen, who will portray the masked crime fighter. But Cage says he "wasn't interested in just being just a straight-up bad guy who was killing people willy-nilly."
