#THEANGRYBIRDS MOVIE’S HATCHLINGS STAR IN BRAND-NEW SHORT COMING TO THEATER

The Angry Birds Movie has flown to new heights, circling $300 million in worldwide box office, and The Hatchlings are celebrating in their own incredibly cute way. Everyone’s favorite fluffy little birds, voiced by young children, star in a brand new short, “ The Early Hatchling Gets The Worm ,” viewable in select theaters starting this weekend, it was announced today by Sony Pictures Entertainment and Rovio Animation. Four hilarious Hatchling shorts have been released so far, garnering a total of 40 million views and counting. The videos are part of an inventive marketing campaign that went viral, with the first video in the series having been shared a total of 400,000 times on social media. Previous Hatchlings shorts have been released to mark holidays such as Christmas, Easter, Mother’s Day, and Memorial Day. Fruit Ninja Film On It's Way

The game that has over 1 billion downloads will be adapted into a live-action family comedy. Sharpen your swords and break out the pineapple and watermelon. Ahead of this weekend's release of The Angry Birds Movie comes news of another mobile game app getting the feature film treatment: Fruit Ninja . Tripp Vinson will produce the movie under his Vinson Films production banner. J.P. Lavin and Chad Damiani, who recently adapted an equally out-there concept, How to Survive a Garden Gnome Attack, will pen the script for Fruit Ninja. Vinson has partnered with Halfbrick Studios for what is intended to be a live-action family comedy based on the popular game that centers on ninjas with an inexplicable vendetta against produce. Anger surprisingly doesn’t lead to suffering in game adaptation. Review by Brandon Wolfe Angry Birds has always functioned primarily as an agreeable way to pass the time on the toilet, but it’s difficult to imagine any of the millions of people who have downloaded the game over the years putting much thought into the rules that govern its world. Why are those birds so angry? Why do those pigs construct such breathtakingly shoddy structures around themselves? That one bird who is shaped and functions like a bomb, what’s his story? The Hatchlings from this summer’s The Angry Birds Movie return to theaters this weekend with an Easter greeting for moviegoers. After making their debut in December with a viral video that became the most shared piece of content that Angry Birds has ever released in social media, this weekend provides another opportunity for moviegoers to get to know the adorable Hatchlings. Once again, the greeting is voiced by the young children who play the Hatchlings in the film. “This time we asked them to share some of their favorite Easter memories, and we were delighted with their unexpected responses,” said John Cohen, producer of The Angry Birds Movie.
