BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

First Look At Amber Heard As Mera From The Upcoming Justice League Film

We've seen several images of the main heroes in Justice League , but thus far Mera, queen of Atlantis (played by Amber Heard ), has been more of a mystery. That changes today, as IGN has nabbed a look at the queen as she appears in the movie, along with a costume sketch and concept art that show how her look evolved. See all the images after the Jump... Mera in the comic book love interest of Jason Momoa's Aquaman and the ruler of Atlantis (or future queen in some titles). She first appeared in the DC canon in 1963 and she has powers of her own, including the ability to control water. What she'll be doing in the movie is anyone's guess at this point, but she's Aquaman's wife and will be part of the action. Justice League recently wrapped shooting in London, and director Zack Snyder is currently in post-production to get the film ready for its 17 November, 2017 release date. JUSTICE LEAGUE BTS Featurette. End Of Filming

Zack Snyder tweeted a video signaling the end of their shooting in the UK. In this video you get to see some behind-the-scenes action during filming. Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions Please Leave A Comment-

Superman Origin Story "Krypton" Coming To Syfy

Look, up in the sky! It's another comic book show. Syfy is turning to David S. Goyer — the man behind The Man of Steel — to develop Superman origin story Krypton , The Hollywood Reporter has learned. From Warner Horizon Television and DC Comics, Krypton takes place years before the Superman legend we know, when the House of El was shamed and ostracized. This drama, which is in development, follows the Man of Steel's grandfather as he brings hope and equality to Krypton, turning a planet in disarray into one worthy of giving birth to the greatest Super Hero ever known. Ian Goldberg (Once Upon a Time, FlashForward) will pen the script and exec produce alongside Goyer. The story was conceived by both Goyer and Goldberg. The drama is in the same vein as Fox's DC Comics take Gotham , which tells the origin story of Jim Gordon ( Ben McKenzie ) and features a pre-teen Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) before he became Batman. Krypton also becomes the latest DC Comics-insp...

Comic-Con 2014: Batman v Superman Teaser Trailer Description

The trailer has been released to an enthusiastic response by Hall H attendees. We expected Warner Bros. to bring some sweet reveals for their 2016 release of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice to Comic-Con, and they certainly did not disappoint. In addition to releasing the first image of Wonder Woman , Director Zack Snyder also presented material from the movie. He was accompanied by cast members Henry Cavill (Superman), Ben Affleck (Batman), and Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman). This is the summary as told by Screenrant.com: "The Batman V Superman teaser footage shown at the event began with Affleck’s Caped Crusader standing atop a Gotham rooftop on a rainy night; his eyes then light up solid white, before he removes a tarp and reveals the Batsignal underneath. Following that, the camera track up towards the sky, revealing Cavill’s Superman hovering in the spotlight; he looks extremely angry, as his eyes light up red, preparing to fire his heat vision. Cue the film’s offic...

Comic-Con 2014: Wonder Woman Pic Released!

We've got the story (and the picture) right after the jump! For awhile now, we've been reporting on the steady stream of news surrounding Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice . First came Ben Affleck and the Batmobile , then Superman standing in what looked like a rainy Gotham . But, we hadn't seen Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman, leaving some to wonder whether she could play the part. Until now. On his Twitter account, Director Zak Snyder released this image of the Amazonian princess just a few minutes ago: At first glance, it's hard to tell where Wonder Woman is, except that she's standing on top of wreckage, definitely something made of concrete. Could this Metropolis, Gotham, or a new location? Her uniform is darker - probably for the best - looking more like Xena than Linda Carter. Either way, we now have the Trinity assembled and we're sure to get more today ad Comic-Con 2014 hits its stride. What do you think of the new image? Batman v S...

DC Comics To Shake Up The Movie World

nikkifinke has come out with a big bang.  Warner Bros Pictures is way behind Marvel Studios when it comes to making movies out of its comic book properties. Nikkifinke is reporting on what's coming up at this July’s Comic-Con from the studio. A lot of stuff remains in flux but her sources have so far: May 2016 – Batman v Superman July 2016 – Shazam Xmas 2016 – Sandman May 2017 – Justice League July 2017 – Wonder Woman Xmas 2017 – Flash and Green Lantern team-up May 2018 – Man Of Steel 2 There had been talk of a Metal Men and Suicide Squad movie for sometime in 2016 but that project fell off the schedule. Meanwhile, if you were wondering why Batman v Superman was delayed, it wasn’t the script or Ben Affleck or Jesse Eisenberg but with the fact that this pic will act as a launching pad for the Justice League. According to my source, “Like Marvel’s The Avengers, there will be cameos of superheroes for future installments. The cameos will include the already known Cybo...

Batmobile Tease By Zack Snyder (UPDATE)

Though shooting has been underway for a while now on the yet-to-be-titled, Batman-filled follow-up to Man Of Steel , Zack Snyder and Warner Bros. have been careful not to let too much slip. Now, though, it appears the wraps are coming off both figuratively and literally, as the director has teased a look at the film’s Batmobile AND given us a surprise. Tweeting the image via his official account  on Monday, Snyder showed off a look at the vehicle still mostly covered in a dingy, disused factory. It’s tough to tell from this initial peek, but the shape appears to be favoring the Tim Burton/Joel Schumacher era vehicle with a hint of the Tumbler from Christopher Nolan’s Bat-universe. On Tuesday, Snyder revealed this image, which includes a surprise...The Dark Knight himself.  Let's start with the Batmobile: it's clear that Snyder is pulling elements from all the Batman films, including Tim Burton's series with Michael Keaton.  The cockpit-style door looks almost...

Justice League Movie Coming After Batman-Superman Movie

The news has about as much shock value as a plastic Halloween mask on a parrot with the lights turned on, but after plenty of speculation, Warner Bros. has gone on the record with the Wall Street Journal about plans for a Justice League movie. And according to the studio’s bosses, Zack Snyder is the man to make it. We’ve suspected this was coming for ages, especially since Snyder’s current assignment, which Warners’ president of worldwide production Greg Silverman labels Superman Vs. Batman though no official title has been announced, is so loaded with DC heroes it’s a wonder the studio doesn’t just go ahead and call it Justice League: Prequel. Still, perhaps the confirmation that a Justice League film proper is coming after Superman Vs Batman can lay to rest concerns that this next film might be a Justice League effort in disguise. With Henry Cavill’s Superman now joined by Ben Affleck’s Batman, Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman and a host of other characters (including Lex Luthor,...

Cyborg Cast In Batman-Superman Film

After testing actors over the past couple of weeks, Warner Bros. and DC have tapped theater actor Ray Fisher for the role of Cyborg in the untitled Batman-Superman pic. Victor Stone or Cyborg , while not a major part in the Batman-Superman feature, is a member of the Justice League, and the role will become much more significant role as Warner and DC develop more films related to the Justice League universe, sources confirm. Warner Bros. had no comment on this story. Fisher joins the Batman-Superman cast that includes Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Jesse Eisenberg, Gal Gadot and Amy Adams . Zack Snyder is directing from a script by David S. Goyer, based on a story by Goyer and Snyder. Production is currently under way in Michigan. In the bonus feature on the recent “Man of Steel” homevideo release, Cavill, who plays Superman in the film, said there’s a great deal of promise in Cyborg as well as the fictional research facility S.T.A.R. Labs, which appears in several DC Comi...

Casting News For Superman Vs Batman

Though Zack Snyder still hasn’t zeroed in on a name for his Man Of Steel follow-up (or if he has, he’s not telling us yet), he has at least chosen some new actors for the film. According to Variety , Holly Hunter, Callan Mulvey and Tao Okamoto are all aboard. In true Superman/Batman (or is it Batman Vs. Superman or even All-Star Superhero Variety Hour Fun Time Go?) style, the roles that the newcomers are playing are being kept quiet for now until an official announcement is made. Or, more likely, “sources close to the production” leak the information online. What we do know is that they’re apparently new characters created for the movie. The trio joins announced stars Henry Cavill (Clark Kent/Superman), Ben Affleck (Bruce Wayne/Batman), Jesse Eisenberg (Lex Luthor), Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Gal Gadot (Diana Prince/Wonder Woman), Laurence Fishburne (Perry White) and Jeremy Irons (Alfred Pennyworth). Diane Lane is also expected to return as Clark’s adoptive mother Mar...

Batman Vs Superman Pushed To 2016

And just like that, Batman and Superman’s big team-up was gone from its planned July 2015 release slot. Was it an evil plot by Lex Luthor or someone else from their vast rogues gallery? A superheroic huff? Nothing so suspicious or whiny: Warners has announced a months-long delay to allow Zack Snyder more time to work on the film. Citing a wish to give the filmmakers “time to realize fully their vision, given the complex visual nature of the story,” the studio put out a press release on Friday night, adding that the decision to move the release to May 6, 2016 was made when production plans shifted to the second quarter of this year. “We are happy to take advantage of these coveted summer dates, which are perfect for two of our biggest tent pole releases. We share the fans’ excitement to see DC Comics’ most popular figures, Superman and Batman, together on the big screen for the first time, which will now be arriving in theatres in May 2016.” Rumors naturally began flaring as so...

Gal Gadot To Play Wonder Woman In Batman Vs. Superman

Warner Bros and Zack Snyder have found their Wonder Woman . They’ve cast Israeli-born actress Gal Gadot in the iconic role and she will be part of Batman Vs. Superman , the film that will see Henry Cavill square off with Ben Affleck . Gadot has been in three Fast & Furious films, as well as Knight And Day and Date Night . Given that Warner Bros has bolstered its Batman-Superman-starpower with Affleck and has Cavill returning from the summer hit Man Of Steel, it makes sense to groom new stars in the supporting roles, the way that Marvel has done. All this is clearly gearing toward the long-awaited Justice League film, all based on the DC Comics characters. Said Snyder: “Wonder Woman is arguably one of the most powerful female characters of all time and a fan favorite in the DC Universe. Not only is Gal an amazing actress, but she also has that magical quality that makes her perfect for the role. We look forward to audiences discovering Gal in the first feature film incarnation...

Superman's 75th Anniversary Animated Short

Warner Bros. Animation have teamed up with Man Of Steel director Zack Snyder to create a special two minute cartoon short in honour of Superman's 75th Anniversary , touching on (almost) every incarnation you can think of - from Siegel and Shuster's original Action Comics cover to Henry Cavill's British Blue Boy Scout - and making its viewers long to rewatch Superman II just one more time in the process. Bruce Timm was the animation guru in charge of it all, a veteran of such shows as Batman: The Animated Series and Justice League Unlimited , and the man who had to work out what was worthy of the cut and what wasn't. In short: no Brandon Routh , and no Dean Cain , but somehow an 1978 Atari 2600 video game snuck in, as did Jimmy Olsen's time as Turtle Man. Still, despite the absence of Teri Hatcher's Lois Lane or Peter Cook's Nigel from Supergirl, the piece is a highly rewatchable triumph - if only because of the bit where Supes is in a boxing r...

Batfleck Will BeTired, Weary & Seasoned

Warner Bros. were also present, represented by CEO Kevin Tsujihara, and he dropped a few more hints about what we can expect from Ben Affleck's Batman in the Man Of Steel follow-up. Batfleck will be " tired, weary and seasoned " having been doing the no-powers superhero thing "for a while" says Tsujihara. That chimes neatly with the story that Josh Brolin was approached for the role at one point, and with director Zack Snyder's own original announcement that Affleck's will be "a layered portrayal of a man who is older and wiser than Clark Kent and bears the scars of a seasoned crime fighter". While the film won't be an adaptation of The Dark Knight Returns (which already exists as an animation), Frank Miller's grizzled, beaten-up, worn-in Batman is clearly something like the vibe intended. Of the absurd casting controversy, Tsujihara allows only that the response from fans has been "passionate": a testament, he says, to B...

Ben Affleck Is Batman In Upcoming Batman-Superman Film

Ben Affleck is Batman. The actor will replace Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne in the upcoming untitled Batman-Superman feature for Warner Bros., the studio announced Thursday. Affleck becomes the eighth actor to play the Caped Crusader, following Bale, George Clooney and Michael Keaton . “We knew we needed an extraordinary actor to take on one of DC Comics’ most enduringly popular Super Heroes, and Ben Affleck certainly fits that bill, and then some,” WB president Greg Silverman said in a statement. Directed by “Man of Steel” filmmaker Zack Snyder, the Batman-Superman feature will open worldwide on July 17, 2015, with Henry Cavill, Amy Adams and Diane Lane reprising their roles. “Man of Steel,” released this past June, has earned over $650 million at the global box office. “Ben provides an interesting counter-balance to Henry’s Superman. He has the acting chops to create a layered portrayal of a man who is older and wiser than Clark Kent and bears the scars of a seasone...

Man Of Steel Soars Over Competition At The Box Office

It had high box office expectations to meet and Man Of Steel soared, doing brisk business during an early Thursday opening and ending up with a grand total of $125 million in the US since release. It’s a June record, and now the big challenge will be to keep earning in a crowded summer schedule. Regardless, we figure the final few tumblers on the studio coffers' lock will start to spin for the planned sequel’s budget. Man Of Steel Review. Brings Superman Into The 21st Century- Also doing well was Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg’s apocalyptic chuckle-fest This Is The End . The movie opened on Tuesday and by the end of Sunday it had an estimated $32.8 million in the bank, which means it has earned at least its production budget back in less than a week. Now You See Me stayed strong in third with $10.3 million, while Fast & Furious 6 slipped to fourth and $9.4 million. Rounding out the top five we have The Purge with $8.2 million. The Internship fell to sixth place, ad...

David Goyer Writing Superman Man Of Steel?

David Goyer Writing Superman Man Of Steel? I know a lot of you folks are going to ask "Isn't Goyer writing the third Batman film?" Goyer is only helping in the story, he ain't writing it. Just like The Dark Knight where he only helped with the story. Without any further adieu.. The talented David Stephen Goyer, the man who made sure Nolan stuck to the legend of El Dark Knight, has been hired to write the next chapter. 1. Thomas Tull, the head of Legendary, got tired of all the discussion and decided chingate, let's do it. So he went to Goyer and Goyer had an idea that actually takes the movies back to the John Byrne incarnation. Modern. Believable. FUN! So Tull got Goyer hired. 2. The film will not be called Superman and will be called THE MAN OF STEEL. 3. Brandon Routh will not star in the film. 4. Nic Cage will NOT star in the fllm (lol) 5. Bryan Singer is not expected to direct. Mark Millar walks around acting like he was going to write it? El Taco disc...
