With a budget of $24 million to make, and opening to $10 million at the weekend boxoffice Dimension has announced it’s working on “ Piranha 3D - The Sequel .” The company didn’t go into details as to whether or not director Alexandre Aja would return or if any writers had been hired to pen the script, but producer Mark Canton will be back. “We are thrilled that audiences are not just loving ' Piranha 3D ,' but cheering for it,” said Canton in the announcement. “And it's fantastic that so many critics are really getting the movie and recommending it.
