Destinies are revealed in the final season of Star Wars Rebels . An animated TV series set between the events of Episode III and IV, Star Wars Rebels takes place in a time where the Empire is securing its grip on the galaxy and hunting down the last of the Jedi Knights as a fledgling rebellion against the Empire is taking shape. “Star Wars Rebels” is created by Dave Filoni (“Star Wars: The Clone Wars”), Simon Kinberg (“X-Men: Days of Future Past”) and Carrie Beck. The Lucasfilm Animation production is executive produced by Filoni and Kinberg. Since replacing Star Wars: Clone Wars on small screens, Star Wars Rebels has ploughed its own successful furrow into the sprawling galaxy far, far away. The show is returning for a second season and a new trailer was unveiled at a panel for the show at Star Wars Celebration . Set in the years between Revenge Of The Sith and A New Hope (yes, yes, we know, it’s just Star Wars to so many of us), the show features the adventures of a rag-tag group of rebels – some young, some veterans – who work as Robin Hood types to undercut the growing Empire and help the needy in their home system. Their actions have not gone unnoticed and now the Emperor has decided to put his gloved fist down, dispatching the one and only Darth Vader (voiced, as is law, by James Earl Jones) to take them out.
