With so many superhero movies due in the next couple of years, it is inevitable that some release dates will change. Often this is to avoid clashes with rival studios, but occasionally it is simply because the films won't be finished in time. This now seems to be the case with the Channing Tatum -starring Gambit . The X-Men spinoff was originally scheduled for an October 7, 2016 release, which would make it the third of three X-Men movies that Fox were releasing next year. However, producer Simon Kinberg has confirmed that Gambit won't even start shooting until next spring, making a 2016 release impossible.
