Universal Pictures and Regal today announced that, on Thursday, October 11, more than 14,000 free tickets will be presented to U.S. veterans and active-duty servicemembers for Universal’s First Man —at more than 500 Regal locations nationwide. Blade Runner 2049 is both a surreal visual spectacle and a powerful experiential journey. Review by Matt Cummings Science Fiction and Sci-Fi have existed as twins, constantly misidentified and suffering from people's perceptions of the other. On the one side, you have Sci-Fi, which merely entertains and is always content with its role as party guest: think Starship Troopers or Aliens . Then there's Science-Fiction, constantly finding itself reading a book while their cooler brother parties on. The greatest of these set humanity in space, the future, and many times both. When he's not busy punishing people as Frank Castle on Netflix, Jon Bernthal is nabbing film roles left and right. He's just completed work on Steve McQueen's crime thriller Widows and is now headed for a part in First Man . The Neil Armstrong biopic finds Ryan Gosling as the main man, charting his training and the missions that led to his walking on the moon. Bernthal is aboard as Dave Scott, a fellow pilot and astronaut who was his partner on the Gemini VIII mission. Damien Chazelle is staging the reunion with his La La Land star Gosling, and the cast also includes Kyle Chandler, Corey Stoll and Claire Foy. The cameras will start rolling this November in Atlanta.
