Robert Kirkman's 'Invincible' Heading To The Big Screen

THR is reporting  Rogen and Goldberg will write, direct and produce a movie adaptation, with the ' Walking Dead ' creator also producing. Invincible is Kirkman’s second-longest running title after The Walking Dead and follows Mark Grayson, a normal high school student with just one difference between him and his peers — his father is the most powerful superhero on the planet, and he, too, will inherit his own set of superpowers. Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg are teaming up with Robert Kirkman to bring the Walking Dead creator’s comic book Invincible to the big screen for Universal. Rogen and Goldberg will write, direct and produce the adaptation of the comic, which has been continually published since 2003. Kirkman will also produce, via his shingle Skybound Entertainment and his Skybound cohorts David Alpert, Bryan Furst and Sean Furst. The project falls under Skybound’s first-look deal with Universal. Dougray Scott Joins Fear the Walking Dead

Actor will recur on second season of “ The Walking Dead ” spinoff series. Dougray Scott has joined the cast of “ Fear the Walking Dead ” for Season 2 TheWrap has learned. Details of Scott’s character are being kept under wraps, but he will recur in multiple episodes. The “Walking Dead” spinoff stars Kim Dickens, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Frank Dillane, Rubén Blades, Mercedes Mason and Cliff Curtis . Robert Kirkman, the writer of the comic book on which “The Walking Dead” is based and an executive producer on the original show, also serves as executive producer on “Fear the Walking Dead,” along with executive producers Greg Nicotero, Gale Ann Hurd and David Alpert. Dave Erickson is the showrunner. The first seven episodes of Season 2 of “Fear” will air in the spring, with the final half of the 15-episode season airing later in 2016. In addition, AMC has renewed “Talking Dead,” the live after-show hosted by Chris Hardwick that ranks in the top 10 across all television among adults 18-49, with new episodes to follow “The Walking Dead.” The October 25th episode of “The Walking Dead” delivered 18.2 million viewers, 12 million adults 18-49 and 11.5 million adults 25-54 in live+3 ratings, which include three days of time-shifted viewing – each growing compared to last season’s corresponding episode #503. ATTICUS ROSS SIGNS ON TO SCORE ROBERT KIRKMAN’S UPCOMING SERIES OUTCAST FOX International Studios (FIS) today announced that Atticus Ross, Grammy, Golden Globe and Academy Award-winning composer, producer and electronic musician is on board to score Robert Kirkman’s upcoming exorcism drama, Outcast, produced for Cinemax by FOX International Studios (FIS). Kim Dickens To Star In The Walking Dead Spin Off Show

Gone Girl standout Kim Dickens has been tapped as the female lead opposite Cliff Curtis in the pilot for The Walking Dead companion series at AMC. The project was created by Robert Kirkman , on whose graphic novel The Walking Dead was based, and Dave Erickson, with Adam Davidson set to direct. The Walking Dead Season 2 To Open With 90 Minute Premiere

AMC is taking a page out of last year's book, offering viewers an expanded premiere episode of The Walking Dead when it returns this October. The zombie drama will once again open its season with a 90-minute episode on Sunday, Oct. 16 at 9 p.m., kicking off the two-weeklong Fearfest. The supersized premiere will be aired internationally following the U.S. premiere. Following the premiere, six more episodes will air in the following weeks. But unlike the first season, which only featured six episodes, AMC will break out the second half of the season to air next year. The final six episodes of the season will begin airing Sunday, Feb. 12 at 9 p.m. The Walking Dead , based on the comics by Robert Kirkman , has been in the spotlight as of late, with showrunner Frank Darabont exiting the series and Glen Mazzara stepping into the position. Witch Doctor , the first original comic published by Robert Kirkman’s Image Comics’ SKYBOUND imprint, will debut 29 June 2011. A preview edition will be featured at this weekend’s WonderCon 2011 in San Francisco. Witch Doctor is a medical horror comic from Brandon Seifert and Lukas Ketner, a pair of Alaskans currently based in Portland, Oregon.
