"Slash" Forms Slasher Films

"Slash" Forms His Own Movie Company-Slasher Films Unless you answer to Rob Zombie , what musician has a name better suited to horror film making than Slash ? The iconic guitarist of Guns N' Roses and Velvet Revolver has teamed with Scout Productions to start Slasher Films . They will produce edgy contemporary horror fare with a nod to the thrillers of the '70s and '80s. They've set up their first: Nothing to Fear , a horror/thriller that follows a young family as it tries to reinvent itself by moving to a small town in rural Kansas. The family is tormented by an ancient demon with an insatiable blood lust. The script was written by Jonathan W.C. Mills, who's currently working on the Gold Circle pic Inside Passage. "My audience is made up of young, edgy, discerning consumers, with an appetite for quality and a hint of anarchy." S cout Productions has generated the TV series Queer Eye for the Straight Guy and films that include Transsiberia

Halloween 3D Is A No Go-TWC In Trouble?

Halloween 3D is A No Go-TWC In Trouble? I have the feeling that this has more to do with lack of cash than a mere scheduling problem. And while some may say that H2’s $32 million was okay, in comparison with the movie’s $15 million budget, but that didn’t include prints and advertising, which, was at minimum, that much all over again. EXCLUSIVE: So here's what happened: the script only came in Friday, and it was the first draft that Dimension Films had seen. And The Weinstein Co was rushing to get the film into production for a November start date because it has to be done by January when director Patrick Lussier starts a film for Avi Lerner. A release for Summer 2010 was planned. Sure, the rumor mill claims TWC is out of money amid all those layoffs, and TWC couldn't agree on a $2.5M budget battle with Lussier, and TWC had key crew ready to fly to Shreveport. But I understand that Bob Weinstein shut down H3D pre-production "because Bob just felt it was rushing too fast.

Do we really need Halloween 3D?

Do we really need Halloween 3D? I really don't need think we need another Halloween Movie, but by the box office numbers this weekend. (" Halloween II ," sold $17.4 million worth of tickets.) Compared to " The Final Destination " Which took in estimated $28.3 million. Some would say Yes and I would say No. Every movie out there is going to 3D. Maybe we can see a comedy in 3D just for the hell of it. Please Hollywood Come up with something new. At least it looks like Rob Zombie Isn't going to come back for the next movie. The independent studio's co-Chairman Bob Weinstein said today that the 3-D sequel, titled, appropriately enough, "Halloween 3D," is in development. The investment it takes to shoot movies in digital 3-D has proved particularly lucrative for horror films. For "The Final Destination," this weekend's No. 1 movie, theaters with at least one 3-D screen earned 3.25 times as much as those that showed the movie in

Halloween 2 Movie Review

Halloween 2 Movie Review Review By:Chocolate Thunder Very good start to Halloween 2 . Rob Zombie directs and puts a gruesome, graphic spin on this movie. Cinematography is great, lighting is good, special effects is so-so. The direction of the film is also good. So whats the problem? The story! What is the likely hood that this dude who is a bred killer pass up a teen smorgageborge to seek out some lonely teen across town that is meaningless to the story. Also, the movie has Michael Meyers grunting and making noises of aggression. In the original the MM of that generation made no noise, just killed people. But I will say this about the movie, the graphic gruesome pics of violence makes this a must see. I actually jumped one time. As for a review I will say this is a matinee if you are a fan of the franchise, and the last Halloween Movie made. For all else DVD. I will give it 4 Sandwiches out of 10 Please Leave A Comment-
