RED TAILS Movie Review By: RAMA

RED TAILS Movie Review By: RAMA So did RED TAILS inspire RAMA ? Make sure to follow him on Facebook and twitter and show your love for his reviews. This could be THE inspiring movie to honor Tuskegee airmen, those brave fighter pilots, this has so much potential but unfortunately RED TAILS ’ weak script and mediocre direction doesn’t allow the film to achieve greatness. It’s good that somebody managed to bring this important true historical story to the big screen, I commend director Anthony Hemingway, producer George Lucas, screenwriters John Ridley and Aaron McGruder for doing that but I think RED TAILS could be a better film without any of their involvement.. As the war in Europe continues to take its dire toll on Allied forces, Pentagon brass has no recourse but to reconsider these under-utilized pilots for combat duty. Just as the young Tuskegee men are on the brink of being shut down and shipped back home, Col. A.J. Bullard (Terrence Howard) awards them the ultimate chan

Star Wars: Underworld. What Do You Think? Will You Watch?

IGN had a great chat with producer Rick McCallum   about his new film Red Tails. McCallum, of course, is George Lucas' main man, having helped create, among other things, the Star Wars prequels, The Clone Wars cartoon and the oft-discussed live-action TV series that has yet to be produced. Of course, I had to ask McCallum about the status of that show today. The would-be series already has 50 scripts written, just sitting on the shelf waiting for an economically sound way to actually be produced. We talked about the challenges of making that happen, and along the way McCallum mentioned the "working title" for the show as well… Star Wars: Underworld . It has a nice ring to it, eh? And of course, it is in keeping with everything we've heard about the series so far -- bounty hunters, Godfather comparisons, and all the rest of it. It remains to be seen when -- or if -- the show will get made, but in the meantime we can obsess over the title anyway! Please Leave

There was the story of how they got trained at Tuskegee (Institute in Alabama), and how Eleanor Roosevelt became their champion. Then there

Images From George Lucas Upcoming Film "Red Tails" Leave it to George Lucas to try and use something that has never been done before. For the first time a large scale Hollywood project will be entirely digital from start to finish – including the projection in the theaters. This represents the only way to really control the visual quality throughout the entire production chain, claims the renowned perfectionist.   “Right after the introduction of the new single chip camera Sony F35 last year, we decided that this camera will be our entry platform into the digital cinematography. At the same time, the F35 perfectly complements our already existing other CineAlta camcorders HDWF900R and HDW-750P from Sony,” explains Markus Schmidle, managing director and responsible for new technologies at FGV. “36 years in the demanding business of 16 and 35mm camera rental have created a very distinctive sense for quality: For high class e-cinema, commercials and TV dramas, we see the S

Details About Lucas' Red Tails Reshoots

Details About Lucas' Red Tails Reshoots This is odd. A good follow-up story to the "Red Tails"/George Lucas drama that bubbled up a week ago, that never seemed to make it online for some reason. You'll recall a week ago, rumors popped up that the George Lucas-produced WWII fighter planes drama centered around African American soldiers was having issues and apparently the director Anthony Hemingway had done such a poor job that Lucas himself had to step in and finish some key scenes and reshoot others. Lucasfilm quickly called these reports "inaccurate," but didn't elucidate further and we haven't heard much since (and if you watched Twitter that day, many bloggers in the film community didn't buy LucasFilm's denial). But EW's excellent reporter Nicole Sperling looked into the situation and seems to have found a logical explanation to a story that could have been inadvertently exaggerated to levels of melodrama. According to her report

Don't Mess With George Lucas, Reshoots Of "Red Tails"

Don't Mess With George Lucas, Reshoots Of "Red Tails" This film is a passion for George Lucas and with him not being happy with how the direction that film was going, looks like Mr. Lucas is stepping down from his producer chair and directing the re-shoots himself. You mess with the Bull you get the Horns. The guys over at firstshowing have found out that Lucas was very displeased with TV director Anthony Hemingway's work, and is taking it upon himself to direct some massive reshoots. With these re-shoots come some hefty re-writes which I'm told completely change the main characters and their storylines. Red Tails , the story of the Tuskegee Airmen, the first African-American pilots to fly in a combat squadron during World War II, Principal photography wrapped in November last year with Terrence Howard, Cuba Gooding Jr. and Bryan Cranston starring in a fictional story of the historic and heroic exploits of America's first all black aerial combat unit in WWII.

Star Wars Live Action Show News

Star Wars Live Action Show News I can not wait for this show to actually happen and to find out what universe and time Uncle George is going to take us. Steve Sansweet officially acknowledged the Live Action TV series and gave a rough timetable and hinted strongly at a bit of casting news (though the hint will make it constitute as rumour at best). First: Pre-production on the show will be starting soon and go through until the new year. The writers have been working for a while and, according to Sansweet, no one knows anything about the story for sure except George Lucas , Rick McCallum and the writers. He also gave 2012 as a reasonably firm date for seeing the project on the air. It is a one hour format drama show and will air weekly. As far as the casting news. An audience member asked about Daniel Logan (who portrayed Boba Fett in Attack of the Clones) and his possible participation in the show reprising his role. Sansweet remained cryptic, reminded everyone that no major c
