The film follows a mercenary named Royce who is abducted by alien creatures known as the Predators. He is released on an alien world which acts as a game reserve—along with seven other humans, where they are hunted by a group of predators as well as a new updated version nicknamed the Black Super Predator. He-Man Film Gets Their Writers The guys behind the upcoming "Predators" reboot, have been brought on board to pen "Masters of the Universe" for Columbia. Mike Finch and Alex Litvak will be given the shot of writing the screen play.  The studio picked up movie rights to the 1980s Mattel toy property in the fall, when Mattel and Warner Bros. parted ways after the sides couldn't agree on a creative vision. The addition of the rising writers is the first major move on the property and signals the project is being rebuilt from the ground up. While at Warners, "Masters" went through several writers and in latter stages had John Stevenson, who co-helmed "Kung Fu Panda," attached to direct. Getting the go-ahead to tackle any major toy-brand film can be tricky. Adrien Brody and Topher Grace Lined Up To Fight A "Predator" Just not seeing Adrien Brody as an Action star. He is a great actor in his own rights, But an action movie? Forget about it. And Topher Grace. Forget about it. This movie is not shaping up the way I would have hoped. Let's just hope there is a Cameo from Arnold in this movie. Is this movie an Action flick or a Drama? Can't wait for this movie to hit theaters next year. 20 th Century Fox scouts have been combing the jungles of the Big Island of Hawaii for possible locations for their new movie in the Predator franchise Predators , according to Tim Ryan's Reel Hawaii . Predators would be shooting on location in Hawaii for 18 days if plans pan out, with additional shooting done at Robert Rodriguez 's Troublemaker Studios in Austin beginning in late September. Rodriguez added that things are moving forward on Predators, the reboot/prequel film, which he's producing. Specifically, he said that he's loaned out his Austin, Texas, studio and crew to help breathe new life into the franchise.
