BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Movie Review: #SingMovie Joyous, Wonderful & Affirming

Joyous, wonderful and affirming Rama has done it again SING pleasantly surprises me. This is one of those cases in which the trailers and previews don’t really quite do the movie justice but that’s a good thing because you are in for a treat. SING is joyous, wonderful and affirming. A must-see for the entire family. Written and co-directed by Garth Jennings (“Son of Rambow”), the story is essentially about a dapper Koala named Buster Moon, voiced by Oscar winner Matthew McConaughey, who has one final chance to restore his once grand theater that has fallen on hard times to its former glory by producing a singing competition. Set in a world like ours but entirely inhabited by animals, everyone around Buster thinks he’s delusional, that the theater is no longer worth saving, that it’s time for him to let go and move on. But Buster persists and so five lead contestants emerge for this competition. A smooth con-artist jazz mouse named Mike (Seth MacFarlane), a shy elephant with...

Zach Braff's #GoingInStyle Trailer & Poster

Oscar winners Morgan Freeman (“Million Dollar Baby”), Michael Caine (“The Cider House Rules,” “Hannah and Her Sisters”) and Alan Arkin (“Little Miss Sunshine”) team up as lifelong buddies Willie, Joe and Al, who decide to buck retirement and step off the straight-and-narrow for the first time in their lives when their pension fund becomes a corporate casualty, in director Zach Braff ’s comedy “ Going in Style .” Desperate to pay the bills and come through for their loved ones, the three risk it all by embarking on a daring bid to knock off the very bank that absconded with their money. The film also stars two-time Oscar nominee Ann-Margret (“Tommy,” “Carnal Knowledge”) as Annie, a grocery cashier who’s been checking Al out in more ways than one. Joey King (“Wish I Was Here”) stars as Joe’s whip-smart granddaughter, Brooklyn; with Oscar nominee Matt Dillon (“Crash”) as FBI Agent Hamer; and Christopher Lloyd (“Back to the Future” trilogy) as the guys’ lodge buddy, Milton. ...

Peter Serafinowicz Cast As The Tick

Ben Edlund's The Tick is making its return to television via a new pilot being produced for Amazon Studios, and now we know who will be playing the man in blue: British actor Peter Serafinowicz . Serafinowicz is assuming the role previously voiced by Townsend Coleman in the 1994 animated series (which ran for three seasons) and played by Patrick Warburton (back as an executive producer for this version) in the 2001 live action version, which, unfortunately, lasted only nine episodes). In this new pilot, The Tick is suffering from amnesia when he is reunited with Arthur (Griffin Newman), his sidekick, and the two begin to fight evil again. The only other character announced so far is Arthur's sister, Dot (Valorie Curry). Serafinowicz' past credits include Guardians Of The Galaxy and Shaun Of The Dead. Additionally, he voiced Darth Maul in Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace. Please Leave A Comment- Source- Empire

Movie Review: 'Spy'

The ridiculous comedy Spy celebrates the genre while poking male genitalia in its eye. Review by Matt Cummings If any of you winced while watching The Heat or Identity Thief , and outright gagged at the sight of Tammy , you know that Actress Melissa McCarthy has incredibly persevered. Films like those would ruin most careers, but here McCarthy stands, ready for the next challenge. That one arrives in the hilarious action comedy Spy , a renaissance film of sorts that showcases what happens when great talent (finally) meets a competent script and supporting cast. Behind every great spy like CIA agent Bradley Fine (Jude Law) is his support system, in this case the 40-something Susan Cooper (McCarthy), whose stunted rise through the agency has relegated her to Fine's eyes and ears in the vermin-infested CIA headquarters. When Fine is murdered by the arms dealer Rayna Boyanov (Rose Byrne) the overweight, homely Cooper seeks vengeance by posing as a series of embarrass...

Yellow Submarine Has Found It's Crew

Yellow Submarine Has Found It's Crew It's "all together now" for the cast of Robert Zemeckis' upcoming Beatles feature. Cary Elwes, Dean Lennox Kelly, Peter Serafinowicz and Adam Campbell are in negotiations to portray the members of the band in "Yellow Submarine," which the director is remaking for Disney. The original 1968 animated movie was based on the music by the Beatles and featured a storyline wherein a soldier called Old Fred meets up with the Beatles and travels in a yellow submersible to Pepperland. Among the group's encounters are the music-hating Blue Meanies. As with his recently released "A Christmas Carol," Zemeckis is making the movie using 3D performance-capture technology. The helmer, who also wrote the screenplay, is producing with his Imagemovers Digital partners Jack Rapke and Steve Starkey. The Beatles tribute band the Fab Four will be motion-captured as the ensemble for the musical performance sequences though -- si...
