The demonic clown will be portrayed by Will Poulter, who is perhaps best known from We’re The Millers . Poulter seems like a strange choice for the role, but a quick glance at his somewhat sinisterly structured face may be the key to understanding the decision. There’s something going on with the eyebrow/forehead region there that’s unsettling. It , which will be directed by True Detective ’s Cary Fukunaga and be split between two films, is the story of a group of children who confront a child-killing entity who often takes the form of a clown, only to have it return to plague them as adults.
