"Let Me In" Movie Review By: SandwichJohn First off I have to thank Jen and Overture Films for inviting me to the press screening last Thursday. It was one hell of a drive from Sacramento to LA. but well worth the drive and time. Let Me In is a film that can stand on it own, a remake what? If I hadn't attend the panel for it during Comic-Con I would have never known this film was a remake until I had done some research on the movie. The film is based on the John Ajvide Lindqvist novel “Let the Right One In ” and the Swedish film adaptation of the same name. Let Me In tells a terrifying tale about an alienated 12-year old boy named Owen ( Smit-McPhee ) who is viciously bullied by his classmates and neglected by his divorcing parents. Achingly lonely, Owen spends his days plotting revenge on his middle school tormentors and his evenings spying on the other inhabitants of his apartment complex. His only friend is his new neighbor Abby ( Moretz ), an eerily self-posses
