Nickelodeon Takes Over Comic-Con 2014

Nickelodeon has a lot of great things happening at Comic-Con this year, and we wanted to make sure you are aware of the great story angles we have. We’re going to showcase our hit animated shows through an innovative booth design, fan activations, talent-driven panels and more. Our 1800-square-foot booth (#4113), inspired by the excitement and imagination streaming out of our Burbank Animation Studio, features a bold spiraling collage showcasing beloved hits like Rugrats, The Ren & Stimpy Show, Invader Zim, SpongeBob SquarePants and more, extending down to the floor from the ceiling of the convention center. For the first time, Nickelodeon will hold an open call during the convention for original animated project ideas. Nick’s animation development team will be on-site from Thursday, July 24, to Saturday, July 26, with the goal of greenlighting a pitch for its global Animated Shorts Program, which is designed to identify and develop original comedy-driven content for kids

IDW Announces New Comic Series Based on the Original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles  Comics Publisher Partners with Nickelodeon to Bring Turtle Power to Comics and Graphic Novels This Summer! More than 25 years after its first comic book, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles return to their roots with IDW Publishing. New Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Cartoon Coming To Nickelodeon

A bevy of young stars are scheduled to entertain advertisers at Nickelodeon’s upfront presentation at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Rose Hall on Thursday. The top-rated kids network – which is still the ratings leader in an increasingly crowded kids market that now includes Discovery/Hasbro joint venture The Hub, PBS Kids Sprout and Disney Junior – will also feature a preview of the its upcoming CG-animated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot introduced by actor Jason Biggs , who voices Leonardo . Nickelodeon is adding four new animated series to its preschool roster including a new edition of the Beatrix Potter classic Peter Rabbit. The net has ordered 26-episodes of The Tales if Peter Rabbit – which is targeted for a 2012 debut. Nickelodeon will produce the series in conjunction with Chorion and Potter publisher Frederick Warne & Co. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Are In The Hands Of Michael Bay Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon have brought Michael Bay and his Platinum Dunes partners Brad Fuller and Andrew Form on to produce Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles , the live-action film that reboots the film series launched by New Line in 1990. Bay, Fuller and Form will produce with Galen Walker and Scott Mednick. The producers will begin meetings with writers in the next few weeks. The deal puts Bay in the center of two Paramount franchises, as he started production May 17 on Transformers 3, and is zeroing in on Rosie Huntington-Whitely to replace Megan Fox as love interest for Shia LaBeouf. TMNT, a co-production between Paramount and Nickelodeon, is an outgrowth of the $60 million acquisition made by Nick last October for global rights to the entire Turtles franchise. Japanese Trailer For The Last Airbender Here is the Japanese Trailer for The Last Airbender. Doesn't the  trailer just sounds cooler in Japanese. Maybe because it is something different then the movie guys voice that we hear on every trailer here in the states. In the trailer we get more of  the visual side of the film from this clip, compared to the U.S. version. The film comes out on July 2nd here in the states and is released in Japan on July 30th.
