BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Jonah Hill To Tell A True Story

Jonah Hill had so much fun working with fellow Oscar nominee and Moneyball producer Brad Pitt that they’re back in business on another fact-based film. Hill and James Franco are attached to star in True Story , the Rupert Goold-directed adaptation of a memoir by journalist Michael Finkel. Pitt and Dede Gardner’s Plan B is are producing. Like Moneyball, this is another opportunity for Hill to veer from his comic persona. He will play Finkel , who was a writer at The New York Times Magazine in 2002 when he learned that Christian Longo was captured in Mexico after a long stint on the FBI Ten Most Wanted List for killing his family. The strange part was that he had been living under the identity of Finkel. The very next day, the real Finkel was fired by the editors of The Times, right after they ran an editor’s note declaring that he had falsified parts of an investigative article. His career seemed over, until Longo (who’ll be played by Franco ) declared that the real Finkel

Michael Lewis's Liar's Poker Headed To Warner Bros.

In the wake of the $20 million opening weekend for the film based on his Moneyball , author Michael Lewis is taking a much more active role in the what could be the next film based on one of his books. Lewis has been tapped by Warner Bros. to write a script based on Liar's Poker , his classic 1989 account of working as a bond trader at Salomon Brothers in the go-go '80s. “I’m going to spend the next two months doing that,” Lewis tells The Hollywood Reporter. Moneyball Review - In addition, John Requa and Glenn Ficarra (Crazy, Stupid, Love) have come aboard to direct the film. Moneyball Movie Review By: Rama

Moneyball Movie Review By: Rama Let's see if Rama thought Moneyball hit it out of the park or not. Enjoy his review and make sure to follow him on Facebook and Twitter . I don’t know if I’d call MONEYBALL a baseball movie because it’s more about the business or the dealings behind it and in that sense, the concept could apply to other sports. Which is great because you don’t have to grow up liking baseball to enjoy MONEYBALL, which by the way is one of the best films of 2011 in my book. Columbia Pictures, the force behind last year’s smart dialogue film, The Social Network, has done it again, obviously because Sorkin reworked the script. But the film’s comparison to The Social Network may also be a factor, on top of public’s opinion on Pitt ’s recent comment about Jen Aniston, that could hurt MONEYBALL’s chances at the box office. That said, this film is funny, it’s engaging, it’s got similar excitement and intensity that you’d usually expect to happen on wall street flo

"Moneyball" Has Found It's Man Bennett Miller and Brad Pitt on Board Columbia Pictures is handing the ball to helmer Bennett Miller for its pic "Moneyball." The "Capote" director is in negotiations to take the helm of the Brad Pitt starrer. Real-life story is based on Oakland A's general manager Billy Beane, who defied conventional wisdom and even his own scouts by fielding a baseball team of castoffs to create the ultimate underdogs en route to one of the most unlikely winning streaks in the history of professional sports. Steve Zaillian and Aaron Sorkin penned the script, which is based on Michael Lewis' best-selling tome. Stan Chervin wrote an earlier draft. Steven Soderbergh had been attached to direct the pic, which is considered a tricky sell overseas given baseball's limited appeal outside of the U.S. Columbia has been working to get the project back on track after studio topper Amy Pascal pulled the plug on the film just days befor
