Sunday brought us yet another tidbit, this time from the Tom Cruise Mission: Impossible franchise. This shouldn't come as a shock, since the Christopher McQuarrie-directed flick was moved up to July to avoid competition from Star Wars: The Force Awakens , which means we have less than four months before its premiere. First up is the title card which we premiered above. We really can't take much from it, but its font and wick reminds us of the franchise's roots. But it's the teaser trailer we got that tells us so much more about what to expect. Warner Bros. is already planning for the holidays. By Brandon Wolfe Warner Bros. has shuffled its schedule today, announcing that it is moving its (again, brutally pointless) remake of Point Break from summer to the very un-surfer-friendly date of Christmas Day. This move is not surprising, as the remake's original July 31 turf was recently encroached upon by the far more heavily anticipated Mission: Impossible 5 . Still, scuttling the film to Christmas feels like a peculiar move for such a summery property. Point Break will now square off against the latest Alvin and the Chipmunks squeakquel, the Will Smith drama Concussion and Paramount's Monster Trucks . WB has also set a Thanksgiving release date for Creed , the spin-off of the undying Rocky franchise, starring Michael B. Jordan and Sylvester Stallone. It will spar with Pixar's The Good Dinosaur , Ridley Scott's The Martian and an untitled Sony Christmas comedy starring Seth Rogen and Joseph Gordon-L

Tom Cruise’s new mission will be accepted July 31. By Brandon Wolfe Smartly reconsidering the decision to go toe-to-toe with Star Wars in December, Deadline reports that Paramount has opted to bump Mission: Impossible 5 up to July 31, where it will now face a more surmountable opponent in Warner Bros’ wildly uncalled-for remake of Point Break . This is a huge vote of confidence in the Tom Cruise five-quel, as movies are generally far more likely to be pushed back six months rather than moved up. Mission: Impossible 5 casts its female lead; Alec Baldwin also in talks. Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol was one of the top money makers of 2011 and made the top five on SJF's 'Best Of.' He will team up again with Tom Cruise and Simon Pegg. According to multiple sources, Actor Jeremy Renner has confirmed that he will reprise his role of Agent William Brandt in Mission: Impossible 5 . He will re-join with Actors Simon Pegg and Tom Cruise for the December 25, 2015 release. The news came as it sometimes does, through denial of a possible casting in another project. The project he denied involvement was HBO's True Detective . Here's what he said: "It's kind of unlikely. In fact, I'm kind of strapped time-wise doing Avengers 2, and Mission: Impossible 5 is rearing its head, and then they want to do another Bourne movie. It's unlikely I can find the time right now. And that's all right. It's just really high-class problems — pretty awesome to have. Even if I really wanted to do it, which I don't, I couldn't."
