Green Hornet Pushed Back And Going 3D Another film will be converted to 3D. Sony has announced that they will release the upcoming  Green Hornet film in 3D. The studio also  announced that the film is being shifted from a December release to January. If you saw Warner Bros. Clash Of The Titans and were disappointed with the 3D conversion then you might be disappointed in this upcoming film. They are using the same technique for Green Hornet. Since director Michel Gondry and star/writer/producer Seth Rogen have yet to start editing the film, and none of the visual effects have been put in place, the 3D process can happen a lot more naturally than taking a finished movie and painting over it in green and red (that’s how they did it on Clash, right?) "He always kind of shot it having the possibility of having it in 3D in mind," Sony’s Rory Bruer said of Gondry in a statement. "It's got a lot of depth and amazing visuals." Nicolas Cage Explains "Green Hornet" Choice He is in or is he out. He is out and that came from the horse mouth. Nicolas Cage says he dropped out of "The Green Hornet" film because of creative differences with star and screenwriter Seth Rogen and director Michel Gondry . Cage discussed his decision while appearing at the Toronto International Film Festival to promote the darkly comic film, " Bad Lieutenant, Port of Call: New Orleans ." He had been in talks to play the lead villain opposite Vancouver's Rogen, who will portray the masked crime fighter. But Cage says he "wasn't interested in just being just a straight-up bad guy who was killing people willy-nilly."
