BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Kick-Ass 2: Balls to the Wall Plot Details

Kick-Ass 2: Balls to the Wall Plot Details Kick-Ass is set to hit DVD and Blu-ray on August 3rd.  Mark Millar stopped by movieweb for a chat. While discussing the film, he told us in detail where Kick-Ass 2: Balls to the Wall is headed. Spoiler Alert: Kick-Ass 2: Balls to the Wall begins with Hit Girl living with her newly adoptive father, who used to be Big Daddy's ex-partner on the police force. She has retired her guns and is no longer killing people. Meanwhile, Red Mist has hired a Russian Assassin to murder Hit Girl, while also assembling a group of super villains on-line who decide to hunt Kick-Ass down in a storyline that is similar to the one seen in The Warriors, which climaxes with a huge rumble in Times Square, where costumed heroes battle costumed villains to the death. Here is our conversation: There has been a lot of talk about Kick-Ass 2 . What is happening with that? And where would you like to see it go? Mark Millar: I am writing the comic book right now

Kick-Ass 2 "Balls To The Wall" In 2012?

Kick-Ass 2 "Balls To The Wall" In 2012? Looks like me might be getting a sequel to Kick-Ass. After a very disappointing performance at the box office so far. ($40 Million so far and the film cost 30 million to make) Has the movie warranted a sequel? I say HELL yes! Mark talked to Forces of Geek in which he was promoting his new UK Geek Magazine CLiNT. Here is a little description he gives on the magazine: I’ve worked on everything from Spider-Man comics to the Iron Man movie for Marvel in New York, but what really excites me is the gap I see in the UK market at the moment. There are absolutely no comic-books aimed at 16-30 year old guys and I think CLiNT has potential to make an enormous impact, bringing a new type of magazine to a new generation. I want this to be edgy and irreverent, the kind of thing guys will be passing around lunch-halls and common rooms, and there’s nobody I’d rather have creating new characters for CLiNT than Jonathan and Frankie. They’re both

Kick-Ass Movie Review By: Sandwichjohn

Kick-Ass Movie Review By: Sandwichjohn Sorry Late but you know the real world doesn't always leave a lot of time for sitting down to write a review. Kick Ass unfortunately didn't kick ass in the box office but we here at Sandwichjohnfilms definitely thought it kicked bottom, as my 4 year old says. We were very excited for this movie every since we show the first clips which were released, then more so after watching the panel at WonderCon and we were not disappointed. Kick Ass stars Aaron Johnson as Dave Lizewski, an average high school kid that decides to become a super hero. He hits a few road blocks along the way but becomes a You Tube hit as the super hero Kick Ass. Kick Ass also stars Nicholas Cage as Damon Macready, a former cop who was framed by the local crime boss Frank D'Amico and spent time in prison. Upon his release he trains his 11 year daughter Mindy (Chloë Moretz) to help him fight crime in his quest to bring down D'Amico. Together they form the

Kick-Ass Slays The "Dragon"

Kick-Ass Slays The "Dragon" As of Sunday night I was pretty nervous that Kick-Ass lost the number one spot to "How to Train Your Dragon".  It looks like it was a close race but Kick-Ass ended up on top.  Not taking anything away from Dragon, which was a great film. If you haven't seen the movie you need to make a trip out to the theaters and spread the word. I am really hoping that word of mouth about this film will give this movie legs with all the new films coming out. Despite preliminary reports, "Kick-Ass" took home the top spot at the domestic box office. Grossing $19.8 million, Lionsgate's superhero action pic edged DreamWorks Animation's 3D kid pic, "How to Train Your Dragon" ($19.6 million) in a closely contested race. Big Daddy Kicks-Ass In This Trailer And Wonder Con Exclusive

Big Daddy Kicks-Ass In This Trailer And Wonder Con Exclusive Man I can not stop watching this trailer, I thought to myself for a minute.  Who in the heck needs Batman when you have Big Daddy. Big Daddy is the center of this clip, showing what a bad ass he is and how he completely destroys the whole warehouse without a blink of an eye. Big Daddy, a former cop who, in his quest to bring down an evil druglord Frank D'Amico played by Mark Strong, has trained his eleven-year-old daughter to be the ruthless vigilante Hit-Girl. But the con-exclusive poster for Big Daddy, with its slogan of "He's Watching You," is pretty creepy, and calls out for a "Ceiling Cat"-style meme. Yeah, that's right, Nicolas Cage is watching you, um, doing whatever you're doing. And he'll be available to sign the poster on Saturday. Another thing if you are making your way out to Wonder Con this weekend make sure to come and join me at 4:30 for the Kick-Ass panel i

In the new 'Kick-Ass: Creating the Comic, Making the Movie' movie companion let it out a huge tidbit slip when he talked about the direction of the characters of the upcoming Kick-Ass film will take in the comic books and upcoming sequel "One of my favorite ideas in superhero comics is the exposure of the secret identity... I like the idea of doing that to somebody like Kick-Ass, who's going to have real-world ramifications if his secret identity gets exposed. In the book, the comic book writer also hints at the future for Kick-Ass's friend-turned-foe, Red Mist: "Red Mist surviving, becoming the super-villain was always planned, but the idea was that he was going to be a more m

Official Plot Synopsis: The film tells the story of average teenager Dave Lizewski (Aaron Johnson), a comic-book fanboy who decides to take his obsession as inspiration to become a real-life superhero. As any good superhero would, he chooses a new name — Kick-Ass — assembles a suit and mask to wear, and gets to work fighting crime. There’s only one problem standing in his way: Kick-Ass has absolutely no superpowers. His life is forever changed as he inspires a subculture of copy cats, is hunted by assorted violent and unpleasant characters, and meets up with a pair of crazed vigilantes, including an 11-year-old sword-wielding dynamo, Hit Girl (Chloë Moretz) and her father, Big Daddy (Nicolas Cage).
